Maedhros Russandol Maitimo Nelyfinwe

Stupendously tall was he,

taller than his own father

brushing the towering height

of his maternal grandfather,

and like his mother's father

and his mother after him

his mane of billowing hair flared

in long silky multitudes of red,

blood orange, gold, bronze, and copper

dancing, unfurling, in silken waves;

a flickering beacon of untamed flames.

His eyes were the sharp, gleaming silver

of Telperion's shining attire,

blazing with a ferociously

intense light bursting with fire,

very much like his sire.

His height and frame

finely shaped like his name

was like his maternal grandfather.

His skin was smooth and fair as alabaster

with a sheen of bronze and gold,

the shifting complexion of his father,

though his mood was more mild and patient

warm and unwaveringly firm like his mother.

From both to him they conceived their fire

yet from his father came the roots of his vengeful ire.

And although the mixed image of them he was,

neither was he his mother, nor was he his sire.
