Chapter 1:
The car was quickly moving down the road. 'We are almost there!' I thought as my mom drove. My mom and I were moving. From Texas to Washington. To my happiness it was not Seattle or anywhere big. It was La Push. A tiny Native American reservation near the towns of Port Angeles and Forks. Caroline didn't like big places. Therefore when she heard about moving to La Push she was somewhat happy that it wasn't anything enormous.
10 minutes later the car pulled into a driveway. It was a small one story house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It had a medium sized yard and was on the edge of the forest. Caroline smiled. "It looks perfect Mom!" she said getting out of the car. Caroline's mother, Anne, smiled.
"I'm glad you like it sweetie." she said opening the trunk of their car. Caroline went and grabbed her luggage. Two suitcases was enough to hold all of her stuff. She wasn't a girly girl. She loved the woods though. Her mom was a normal American. Pale skin, blonde hair that was now fading. Caroline's father was a mystery. He had been native american but her mother wouldn't tell her what tribe or his name. This puzzled her. But she looked like her mother so there wouldn't be too many questions.
After an hour of getting settled in Caroline went into the woods. She loved woods and hadn't been into some for a while because they had lived in a more plain part of Texas. She breathed in the air. The forest was damp and very green. It seemed so full of life. She made her way through eventually looping back and going home. She hadn't experienced any trouble but the forest did seem to have eyes. Caroline felt like she was being watched.
She ate a sandwich for dinner. Not very substantial but all she could take right now. She took a shower, brushed her teeth, changed, and laid down. After the long day Caroline was ready to sleep. Her mind was bothering her about school tomorrow though. It would be her first day and because she wasn't native she was a bit nervous. She took a deep breath clearing her mind. It seemed to have worked because the next minute she was sound asleep.
Okay, so I know this is probably an epic fail at a story start but I have a time limit as it is almost my bed time. I love writing in a sense as to create a fantasy land in which everything goes the way I want it to. I have been on here before and just didn't stick with it. I promise this time I will. lol I will try to update tomorrow with a second, more descriptive and longer, chapter. Please review. I do love constructive criticism. It will improve my writing skills. Thank you!
