Chat at Kaede's
AN: Ok everyone, this was just a fun idea I had. Please let me know what you think and whether or not I should keep going!
Sango sat in Kaede's hut as she made some stew for the group. Kagome and Inuyasha had just had a little spat, and he'd been 'sat' a few times. Kagome had stormed off and Inuyasha had followed. Miroku and Shippo were out collecting some herbs for Kaede. Sango's mind began to wander, and she started thinking about Miroku's usual behavior and about Inuyasha's obedience collar.
"Kaede-sama?"
"Aye, Sango?"
"I was curious about Inuyasha's obedience collar. How does it work exactly?"
"Well, it is a spell that gives Kagome power over Inuyasha's spirit. She had only to choose a word to use, and that word would render him harmless. My sister Kikyo originally planned on using the collar on Inuyasha to keep him from coming after the sacred jewel, but for some reason, she chose not to. But, after Kagome released Inuyasha from the sacred tree, which was his resting place for 50 years, the collar became necessary to prevent Inuyasha from doing any harm."
"So, Inuyasha was a threat to Kagome and others at one time?"
"Aye. Inuyasha felt he had been betrayed by my sister, and he was angry and bitter. He first believed Kagome to be my sister, but it mattered not. He felt as though all were enemies."
"I see. Inuyasha is no longer like that. Now, Kagome only uses that collar when she is angry with him or feels like he is behaving badly."
"Aye." Kaede gave a smile and sipped a cup of tea. Sango thought for a moment.
"Kaede-sama?"
"Aye?"
"Does that sort of spell only work on demons?"
Kaede lifted her head. "Have ye a human ye would like to try it on?"
"Umm, well, uhh..." Sango stammered.
Kaede chuckled softly. "Ye wish to know if it would work on the monk, correct?" Kaede asked.
Perceptive as always Lady Kaede. Sango thought.
"Well, yes, I was curious... You see, Miroku behaves very badly around women... I know he has great spiritual powers, so I just wondered if it was even possible."
AN: Ok guys, I know this is really short, and I will continue if I get some requests. My struggle with this is...should we give Miroku an obedience collar or other type of trinket to give Sango power over him? I personally think it would be hilarious, but I don't know that it would work on someone with the spiritual power that Miroku has... Any suggestions would be great! Should we have Kaede give it a try, just to see Miroku's expression, or should we incorporate something, for instance, that comes from Mt. Hakurei? Let me know! Hope you all enjoyed the little chit chat that Sango and Kaede had. If nothing else, I wanted them to have a conversation about it.
