Under Komui's orders the Black Orders Headquarters were to be decorated for the holidays. Meaning there were colored lights in the hallways, tinsel in the kitchen, snowflakes in the Science Department and mistletoe in every corner. Kanda being who he is, hated the Christmas joy that was going around. And Lavi being who he is took it upon himself to cheer up the grumpy exorcist. They were going around the headquarters, putting up mistletoe.
Kanda scowled at the offending decoration before climbing down the ladder. Lavi just watched as his friend glared at the mistletoe as if he wanted it to burst into flames. He shook his head before asking, "What did that poor mistletoe do to you?" Kanda turned his dagger-eyes onto Lavi, who remained unfazed. He was about to open his mouth to reply when Lavi spoke again. "Wait, I know why! You've never been able to catch anyone under it have you?" Kanda's mouth snapped shut with a snap and he strode off, cheeks pink. Memories of being the one caught under the mistletoe came to the front of his mind. He stopped short when Lavi; who had caught up with him, nudged him. "Hey, Yu look!" Kanda focused his eyes to what the moron was pointing at, it was Allen. He was about to tell Lavi off for calling him by his first name when he happened to notice that Allen was standing below some mistletoe. Apparently Lavi had noticed too, "Hey, Yu" he said, nudging his side, "He's standing under the mistletoe. Why don't you give him a kiss?" He was looking at Kanda with mischief in his visible eye. Allen looked up and blushed before slowly lowering his head to look at Kanda. Kanda kept his composer, he glared at Lavi and "tch-ed". "I would rather kiss a Komlin before I kiss a Beansprout." He stalked off, leaving a disappointed Lavi and a hurt Allen.
Allen decided to find Lenalee and ask for her opinion and help, so he set off in search of her. After walking around for 5 minutes, he came upon Kanda. The long-haired exorcist seemed lost in thought because he did not notice Allen until he had walked into him. "Hey! Watch were your going!" Allen jumped at the harsh tone but he continued to stare at the taller exorcist. Unnerved by the intensity of the stare, he snapped "What the hell are you staring at?". In reply Allen pointed up. Kanda stared at him a moment before looking up, and he almost did a facefall when he did. Almost. Hanging above him was a spring of mistletoe. He continued to look at the mistletoe when Allen yanked him to his level by his uniform collar. "You might not want to kiss me, but I'll kiss you." Allen whispered to him before kissing him roughly, but passionately. Kanda then decided that he liked standing under the mistletoe, as long as the one to kiss him was Allen.
