Here's the prologue. I'm not sure how long this story will be but I thought my last one would be short and so far it's eighteen chapters long and still growing so I guess we'll see…

Prologue

"Oh, come on, Bren!" Angela pleaded as they walked off the platform to Brennan's office.

"No, Ange, I already told you!" Brennan replied, annoyance very prominent in her voice.

"Bren, what's wrong with a having a little fun, huh? Booth and Hodgins are gonna be there, even Zach said he would come! This could be the perfect chance for you to hook-up with Booth!" she begged, knowing the 'we're only partners' response Brennan always gave her when she said something like that.

Her prediction was fulfilled when Brennan replied, "Angela, Booth and I both know there is nothing more to our relationship than partners and friends. And I really don't believe that Zach would go so low for entertainment."

"It's not a low form of entertainment, its fun! You do it everyday as your job, this time you just get to be part of the crime. It's just a joke too! It will be fun! Booth says he's going to bring his sister and Zach's bringing this girl he likes," Angela said, a cupid-like smile crossing her features. 'I'm such a match-maker,' she thought to herself with an inward laugh.

'Booth has a sister?' Temperance asked herself but didn't speak the question aloud. Brennan passed to her desk where she shuffled papers, attempting to busy herself but failing immensely. "Ange, I have to work on some more Civil War victims and other stuff," she said trying to think of something she had to work on that weekend.

"Oh, now you're just looking for excuses not to go!" Angela cried in anguish.

Booth was suddenly at the door with the widest charm smile he could bare plastered across his features. "Come on, Bones, live a little!" he said. She jumped at the sound of his voice, hoping he hadn't been there when Angela told her to get together with him. She just shook her head and pretended to be reading something on her computer.

"Bones, do it as a favor for me," he asked gently. Suddenly he was right behind her and Angela had disappeared from the room. The feeling of skin on skin graced her as he pulled her chin so that she was facing them. "Please, Bones?" he asked with a puppy-dog pout that would make anyone automatically give up. As she struggled to retain her decision, her boundaries slowly crumbled and she couldn't deny him what he wanted anymore.

"Fine," she finally replied. "I'll go to the murder mystery party at Angela's." He grinned widely and slowly walked away from the room. As he walked to the sliding glass door he shot a thumbs-up sign to Angela, Hodgins, and Zach who were standing up on the platform. They all grinned as they got back to work.
