Luna stared pensively at the paper. She was in a puzzle. See, Hogwarts had just started up a creative writing class and their first assignment was to write a poem about their hero. Luna had no trouble picking her hero; in fact, she knew almost immediately.

Her father.

Luna was going to write her special poem about her dad. But, as always, she found whenever it came to good intentions, there was one small problem with the plan.

She hadn't the faintest idea what to write.

Her brain was fuzzy -most likely caused by the recent infestation of nargles in her pillow- and she couldn't concentrate due to the overwhelming number of buzzing remtangs in the library. She was just about to pull out her stash of mint leaves (buzzing remtangs are deathly allergic), when, out of thin air, inspiration found her.

She knew what to write.

And so, she, Luna Evangeline Lovegood, set to work.

It only took her five minutes before she set her quill down, pleased with what she had just written. As she examined her paper checking for any mistakes, she couldn't help but smile.

Daddy, A Poem

By: Luna E. Lovegood

My Daddy

They may call you batty

But I know that you're just

a tad-y bit gladdy!

Our house is round

Safe and sound

Thanks to you!

Tangled hair,

Radish necklaces

Perfect for keeping away nargles!

Dirigible plums

And purple carrots

In our front lawn!

Bibble bopper

Humph flumph

Oppity doppity

You're the best!

Luna knew she had done her father justice. His quirks weren't weird; they were unique. His style wasn't odd; it was profound. She just wished people could see it and understand him.

Brushing aside the thought, she began to pack her bag and was soon walking out of the library, her head in the clouds.
