Prologue:
Everything was deathly silent. His heart was beating so quickly. His mouth went dry. He was watching a dazzling figure. Long brown tresses flowed down her petite waist and she was wearing a glittering blue dress. On her face, a black mask stood, a pink rose adorned her hair. She stunned everyone, sweeping in the minute before midnight and disappearing the second after.
He wished he could tell himself that she was nothing but a dream. Her soft brown eyes... silky brown hair... he didn't know who she was, but he would find out. He never wanted to know just how much she infected him. That girl was infectious, her smile, the scent of sweet flowers that had filled the air. He felt himself lose his composure, this was hell, this was surreal, this was paradise. Unconsiously, he leaned over, watching her til she left, and a sense of disappointment replaced the feeling of privilege at seeing her dance. Whispers filled the room. He could distinctly hear the outlines of the people in the room, each asking who the mysterious girl was.
She had captured his heart so easily. He wondered how. He also wondered how he was going to find her. Having lost the only interesting thing worth looking at, he walked away. On his way home, he passed a park. There, he saw the mystery girl, her hand lifting a flower to smell, and hands daintily holding it. A look of joy was on her face. Stopping his chauffeur, he walked towards her.
"Who are you?" he asked, softly. The girl turned to look at him, her smile fragile and vulnerable, innocently sweet.
"Me?" she asked, in a voice only an angel was capable of possessing. He nodded. She smiled again. She thought for a moment.
"I'm just me, I suppose. You are Seto Kaiba, but I'm just me. I guess you could say that I have no name. I hope to see you again!" as she said this, she winked at him and blew him a kiss. Then, without turning back, she walked away into the darkness that consumed her.
Haha. I guess you can guess the male, and the female's... to be revealed in the next chapter! TSOH: please don't say who she is, and I admit, she was a tad too playful, but I'll explain in the next chapter!
