Black eyes scanned the Gryffindor table, and came to a rest on a bright red ponytail. The ponytail in question belonged to the proudest girl he ever met, who now despised him. It was how he wanted her to feel, but a part of himself regretted it. He wished he didn't care.

Then again, he thought, looking at the profile of Lucius Malfoy, learning not to care seems easy enough.

The red ponytail rose from the table and soon was at the doors, and out of sight.
