This is a one-shot I literally thought of about ten minutes before I posted it. Sad, I know. Anyway, lemme know how it is! Little bit of fluff, little angsty.

Rooftops
He found on her on the roof. A haven of a sort, where she could look out over the city and think, without anyone bothering her.
The summer night enveloped them in a blanket of silence. A breeze danced past, ruffling their hair.
She was sitting with her knees drawn up to her chest, her arms wrapped around her knees, and her chin resting on her arms. The ashen locks usually kept in immaculate pigtails cascaded down her back. The sage green eyes that were usually alight with the fury that comes with a good fight were hazy, tired from the endless argument with and between her parents.
He sat down next to her, neither saying a word, her, for fear of shattering in front of her best friend, her rock when things got rough, and he out of despair, because she was the sun that pulled him out of bed in the morning, and she had gone out.
So they sat in silence.
An hour passed.
Then two.
Then five.
When they were found in the morning, both fast asleep, he had tilted and was leaning on her, their thin fingers woven together.
