Author's Notes: Written for the stargatedrabbles lists "Any & All" challenge to write a fic between 100 and 1500 words using as many words as possible from a list. I managed to squeeze in eighteen of the words! The words I used were: tight, dare, enemy, pursuit, alone, risk, desire, save, concern, angry, late, eyes, agony, snarl, bound, prayer, enough, escape. John's lungs felt tight, but he didn't dare stop. The enemy was still in pursuit. Taking off alone had been a risk. However, the desire to save his team outweighed his concern for his own safety.
An angry hiss caught John's attention. To late, he spotted the large insect as it leapt towards him.
Closing his eyes against a sudden stab of agony, John stumbled to his knees. Biting back a snarl, he glared at the Wraith. Knowing the creature was bound to feed on him, he sent a silent prayer that he'd bought his team enough time to escape.
