A/N: Non-heavenly, just saying. I wanted to keep these all serious, nothin' doin'.
Long time no see guys, how've you been.
I don't own anything, it's all Bioware. I did actually write this, though.
Not in chronological order, would be separate chapters but they're rather short.
1. Prudence
Alistair would make a good king. He was charming, charismatic, and had the blood of the royal line backing him. Kallian couldn't have him risking that on some foolish belief that he loved her, couldn't have him doing something rash and stupid to save her life during the battle against the archdemon and getting himself killed. She felt no regret when she told Loghain that he would undergo the Joining.
2. Justice
Eyes that gleamed like justice, he had said, looking sadly into the campfire. Kallian could do little to stop her chuckles as she looked into Kristoff's reanimated eyes, wondering if this is what Zev had meant.
3. Temperance
The other elves in the Alienage would often say that she inherited her mother's spirit. Her companions would often scold her for not trying to ask questions before killing. Even though the one time she had exercised restraint in battle ended up annoying Alistair to no end, leaving him casting suspicious glances across the fire and complaining to anyone that would listen, Kallian could never quite bring herself to regret the decision. In fact, she felt rather like flying as Zevran taught her the intricacies of assassination, whispering Crow secrets into her ear like a lover.
4. Courage
It only took a bit of her strength to decide that she would stand in front of the archdemon and kill it, no matter what. After all, Kallian had been standing up against evil for her entire life, to keep herself safe, Soris safe, Shianni safe. When she confronts Zevran on his strange behavior, she can't fathom how brave he must be, looking for a future when she's so set on dying. But the roles were reversed in the beginning, and she remembers that and accepts the earring. If he lived, so can she.
5. Faith
He was her man, without reservation. She never doubted that.
6. Hope
She had enough of hope. The elves hoped the Alienage would get better, the humans of Redcliffe hoped they could make it through the night, the people hoped the Blight wouldn't swallow them in their homes, some of her companions hoped they could defeat the archdemon, that they could bring hope to the world. It wasn't tangible, it wasn't sensible, you can't feed a family with hope. She told herself that whenever she found herself hoping she could stay alive, with Zevran.
7. Love
He couldn't say it, and she couldn't blame him, so she never said it either. But she knew, and she hoped he did, too.
