**Author's Note** in this chapter everything will be said in third person, but in chapter two i am thinking about having it be from different peoples POV's. and this is the beginning of my gender-bender. short i know, but it will get better as you read :)
Gender bender Inuyasha
Chapter one: The Beginning
You know the original Inuyasha story right? Inuyasha is a boy and falls in love with Kagome the girl. But in this version, everything will be just a little bit different. In this one the story will be twisted around in so many directions it will make your head spin.
Our story will begin in Tokyo, Japan. Where we meet fifteen year old Kago Higurashi. He is as normal of a teenager as you and me. But he is about to discover something incredible about his past.
"Why! Why did you do it Kago?!" The phrase kept repeating it's self inside his head as he tossed and turned in his bed. A woman, with long beautiful white hair and dog ears, would be the one to say the phrase. Kago tried to answer the woman, but it was almost like a demon had taken away his voice.
Kago ended up rolling off his bed and hitting the floor with a loud thud. "OW!" Kago exclaimed in pain as he held his head. "Damn, that hurt." Kago slowly stood up and walked over to his window. He reached his arm out gently pushing the window open. "It looks like it's going to be a good day." Kago said with a happy sigh.
After he finished getting dressed he made his way downstairs and to the kitchen. "Morning dad." Kago said as he grabbed a piece of toast and the orange juice from the fridge. "Morning Kago. Do you have everything you need for school?" "Yeah dad, hey. Have you seen Souka?" Kago asked looking around the room. "Go check by the shrine."
Kago stood up and walked to the back door and slid it open. He stepped outside and was greeted by his cat Bouyo. He crouched down and stroked the cats back, in response Bouyo purred happily.
He stood and turned towards the shrine. He slowly made his way to the entrance and slid the door open. He poked his head in and looked around. "Hey, Souka. Are you in here?" his voice echoed off the walls of the, almost, empty shrine. The only thing in the shrine was an ancient well. It had been in the Higurashi family for generations.
He called in again, only to get no answer. He slowly walked down the stairs and to the middle of the room. Where the well was. He placed his hand on one of the sutras that his grandma had placed there, to ward off demons. Kago heard a small noise behind him. He spun around and threw his fist forward, stopping it just inches away from Souka's nose. She fell backwards in shock, but managed to catch herself by flipping backwards.
"What the hell Kago!" Souka exclaimed as she jabbed Kago in the gut. "Who are you to talk, why are you messing around in here? You know you're not allowed in here" Kago exclaimed grabbing Souka's hand. "Plus, watch your mouth. You're too young to swear." Souka turns and sees Bouyo. Kago walks and picks him up and looks down at Souka.
"You'd better go inside, dad's wondering where you are." Souka turns and starts walking up the stairs next to Kago when they hear a creak of board.
They both turn only to see tentacle like arms shooting out from the door of the well. The arms speed towards Kago and Souka. "Run Souka!" Kago screams as he pushes Souka out of the way and drops Bouyo. The arms grabbed Kago and pulled him into the well.
