This is to a guy I know. Everytime I write about someone, he seems to think it's about him. So, I decided to FINALLY write one about him. Then, I noticed it worked a bit from Elizabeths point-of-view, so I decided to post it up as that.
So, I own nothing of POTC! Though... if I could own Will Turner... sighs MOVING ON!
I don't understand these feelings
There's no way to explain
The rising tide within myself
That line between pleasure and pain
I'm on the left side of the world, I feel
And you are over there on the right
Different personalities make me feel this way
When all we seem to do it fight
I can't take this hurt anymore
All of our miscommunications
But what tends to wound me the most
Is the pain felt by our separation
We've entered a game of tug-a-war, my sweet
But neither is laughing, it seems
You pull me to what you want in life
Yet I pull you towards my own dreams
And both of us will hold on tight
There's no compromise to be had
Just the constant feel of push and pull
Which will surely drive us both mad
I understand what it is you want
And I'm willing to give it to you
For all you ask is my complete trust
To never stand and question what you do
But I refuse to budge just yet, you know
Until you're willing to see
All I want is someone who listens
Not to my words, but to the real me
And though you say you can do just that
I look into your eyes and I crack
You're still not doing what I ask of you
Though you want to, something holds you back
So I let go of this rope that holds us
I'm finally tired of the game
And even though I'm sick of the way we are
I'm still standing here just the same
Cause as hard as it is to play along
It would be harder to walk away
You don't move, just stare back at me
And I realize you feel the same way
What are we to do when we're out of words
Where are we to go with no map
What are we then if we don't even know
Or understand how to fill in this gap
We are drawn to each other like nothing else
Moth to a flame doesn't even come close
Because when a moth arrives, it quickly dies
It doesn't suffer like us both
So we stare and start walking closer
And neither of us will blink
Because our tug-a-war game is over
It's time for a new game, I think
And though this is another thing
Another test to see who backs down
The important part is, we're closer now
Even though, once again, we hold our ground
And in his eyes, I see a change
And in mine, he sees one too
We're no where near where we want to be
But we will be someday soon
