DISCLAIMER: I do not own Harry Potter.

J. K. Rowling does.

NOTE: This is written from Albus Severus Potter's perspective. I decided that I should make the start of my story right at the end of J. K. Rowling's, when the next generation of Potters, Malfoys and Weasleys go to Hogwarts.

Chapter 1: The Hogwarts Express

"I won't! I won't be in Slytherin!" I yelled at my brother James, who was saying I would be in Slytherin house of Hogwarts. "James, Albus, stop arguing!" I heard my mother yelling behind me. "I never said he was going to be, I only said he might be. What's wrong with that?" James said. Before I knew it, my father disappeared through the barrier between platforms nine and ten with James. "You will write to me, won't you?" I asked my mother. "Every day!" she replied. I said "Really? James said most people only get letters from home about every two months." She said "You don't want to believe everything he says about Hogwarts. He likes a laugh, your brother. Anyway, the train will be leaving in five minutes, so we better get to platform nine and three-quarters quick." We then ran through the barrier. I was a little nervous, but no collision came. I just walked inside the wall, and came out the other side to find platform nine and three-quarters. The Hogwarts Express was waiting. I saw my nine-year-old sister Lily, who had to wait another two years before her first year at Hogwarts. We then boarded the Hogwarts Express, and four and a half minutes later, we started moving. I and James discussed Quidditch, because James had been made Gryffindor Seeker. After about six hours, the train began to slow down. I thought that we were at Hogsmeade Station, and I was right. I was then ready to go to Hogwarts.
