Echo

Preview to the story Stranded. Sequel to Melting a Frosty Heart. Echo by Jason Walker. Awesome, but sad. I thought it was fitting.

It had been twenty years since Eliza had been marooned on Treasure Planet.

Luckily, Eliza didn't have the need to eat anymore, so food was not a problem. She did need water though, and Flint hat least had enough common sense to have a lake with freash clean drinking water.

She had made a house out of the spaceship Flint had abondoned there.

And guess what? It had a piano. Unfortunetly, it didn't work, but she pretended it did.

Hello, hello
Anybody out there? Cause I don't hear a sound

Eliza kept on trying to contact help on her somewhat fixed radio. She never heard a sound.

Alone, alone
I don't really know where the world is but I miss it now

Eliza had lost track of time. She didn't know if people where still looking for her, but she doubts it.

I'm out on the edge and I'm screaming my name

Eliza stound at the cliff where she knew the portal was located and kept on screaming to it to open and let her go home.

Like a fool at the top of my lungs
Sometimes when I close my eyes I pretend I'm alright
But it's never enough

Eliza liked to close her eyes and pretend she was home and with her friends again.

Cause my echo, echo
Is the only voice coming back

She only heard the echo of her scream coming back to her.

Shadow, shadow
Is the only friend that I have

At least she still had Ben. But he was getting forgetfull every day.

Listen, listen
I would take a whisper if that's all you had to give

She would even take a whisper of her father coming to have one of his little 'visits'. But even he couldn't get to the far reaches of space.

But it isn't, is it?
You could come and save me and try to chase the crazy right out of my head

Eliza needed Jack to come and chase the crazy right out of her head.

I'm out on the edge and I'm screaming my name
Like a fool at the top of my lungs
Sometimes when I close my eyes I pretend I'm alright
But it's never enough

Cause my echo, echo
Is the only voice coming back
Shadow, shadow
Is the only friend that I have

I don't wanna be an island

She didn't want to stay on this god-forsaken excuse of a planet.

I just wanna feel alive and

She wanted to feel human again.

Get to see your face again

She wanted see Jack's face again.

I don't wanna be island
I just wanna feel alive and
Get to see your face again

But 'til then
Just my echo, my shadow
You're my only friend and I'm

I'm out on the edge and I'm screaming my name
Like a fool at the top of my lungs
Sometimes when I close my eyes I pretend I'm alright
But it's never enough

Cause my echo, echo
Oh my shadow, shadow

Eliza only had her shadow for company. Her eyes fell on a picture of Jack and the Guardians. She burst into tears.

Hello, hello
Anybody out there?

"Hello? Anybody out there?" Jim called out.

Eliza had lost hope. Jim found it for her again.
