Notes: I just got this idea. Hope you like it. Raven might be a bit OOC. I know it's extremely short, but it wouldn't have worked otherwise.

Disclaimer: I do not own Teen Titans.

Raven's eyes traveled to meet Beast Boy's after a quarter appeared before her in a green hand. No words were said to accompany the action, so her impatience finally won out.

"I don't need any charity Beast Boy," she started, pushing the aforementioned hand away..

"Will you," Beast Boy suddenly spoke, thrusting the quarter at her again.

"Will I what," she questioned back, raising her head to look at him directly, confusion lacing her voice.

"Will you smile," he finally finished his question.

"For a quarter," she asked, raising an eyebrow in disbelief.

"You're right," Beast Boy relented, "Your smiles are probably pretty pricey." He stuck his hand into a pocket and pulled out another quarter, "How about two quarters?"

"Bribery won't get you anywhere," Raven told him, "You can't put a price on a smile."

"I bet you look pretty when you smile," he scuffed a shoe against the ground.

At this, Raven blushed lightly. Beast Boy had seen her smile before, but they were brief, only lasting a second or so, if even that long. However, to make an assumption on that was unwise…yet bold.

"Flattery won't get you anywhere either. Why do you want to see me smile anyway," she questioned, "Did Cyborg put you up to this?"

"No," he protested, "You never smile. I was just wondering what you'd look like if you did."

"I don't like to smile," Raven told him, "Is that a good enough answer for you?"

"But why," Beast Boy asked in exasperation, "Most people like smiling. It means you're happy."

"Beast Boy, I can be perfectly happy and not be smiling," Raven replied, "It's called self-control. You know that I have to-"

"I know, I know," he interrupted, "But does anything make you smile? Even a little bit?"

"Well, one thing does," Raven answered.

"What," he asked, eager to know.

Either Beast Boy didn't see the sly look in her eyes or chose to ignore it for the time being. Either way, he wasn't expecting what happened next. Like the time when he had glued her hands to the GameStation controller, he felt a pull at his back and before he knew it, Raven had given him a wedgie.

"I should have known," Beast Boy grunted, removing it from his head. Raven merely looked at him, a cool smile playing across her lips.

"It's your own fault," she told him, "You wanted to know what made me smile and I gave you the answer."

"I could have done without the demonstration," he shot back, though his scowl slowly disintegrated and he gave a low chuckle, "I got you to smile though."

"No," Raven disagreed, "I made myself smile. For once, I must say…that was almost too fun."

"Nope," Beast Boy told her, "I only wanted to see you smile. And I did. Didn't even cost me a dime." With that being said, he quickly started to walk away.

"Beast Boy," Raven yelled out angrily, "You're such a-" She stopped, seeing something shining in the dim light overhead. Apparently Beast Boy had dropped the two quarters in his unpleasant surprise. She picked them up and her eyes narrowed as she got an idea, "Thanks for the money."

Beast Boy halted and stuck his hands into his pockets. His eyes widened and he turned, headed back towards Raven's room. The door closed in his face, but he could have sworn that he heard quiet laughter coming from inside.
