TEN FACTS

A/N: In the tradition of many others who have walked this path before me. Here's a 'ten facts about' series. I've realised that I just don't have the passion left to write a long drawn out story that is plot driven for KoF in any case. So I guess I'm going back to character driven short-fics and one-shots to to try something different.

Disclaimer: I don't own KoF.

Ten Facts About Billy Kane

1. For the longest time he hated Rock Howard because he wouldn't take his father's position. Then he slowly realised that Rock was his own man with his own path. This led to them penning a song as a tribute to the man who had been like a father to Billy, and biological father to Rock. They swore that it would remain between them as memories of a man who had influenced both their lives so much.

2. Of course, that song somehow managed to leak out. Billy always suspected that the love of his life Kaia was behind it, but could never prove it. Until she owned up to it of course. Instead of proving embarassing for him though, it proved a success. She said she knew it all along. Rock was going to kill him when they next met of course.

3. Speaking of the love of his life, Kaia was the most beautiful woman in the universe, in his eyes. The day he had married her was the happiest day of his life. One of them, the other being the day that she gave birth to her first child, a boy who had his father's temper and his mother's looks. Boy did he make trouble.

4. His wedding, he would never forget it, how beautiful it was, how picturesque at a castle in Kent. The bride had walked down the aisle, her brother just barely out the hospital, in a wheelchair, giving her away. The smile on her face was as beautiful as the white dress she wore as the words 'I do' were spoken. The cheer that erupted when tht happened was just as deafening as being on stage if not more.

5. At first he had been against his sister's choice of husband. But he had been talked into accepting the fact that she loved him, even if he did not like the man, himself. That and everyone else threatening to beat him up if he didn't accept it.

6. As time passed his music became more and more of his life. He didn't visit Southtown much anymore, besides to catch up with friends and acquaintances. He only managed to visit Southtown once a couple of years. As time passed Southtown changed, and it was no longer as he remembered.

7. But he never forgot his roots, every morning he would be at his private gym working out, and practicing his bojutsu. Sometimes he'd practice with his wife, sometimes alone, sometimes with his brother-in-law.

8. Speaking of Southtown, in the end he forgave Terry, though it took a long time and a lot of coaxing from everyone around him. They became friends of a sort, or more accurately friendly rivals.

9. The band went from success to success, gracing the covers of numerous magazines, topping the charts around the world. Sometimes on tour, he'd sit and think about what would have happened if he had never left Southtown. It would leave him sad, but then his wife and kids would call, always at the right moment and then he was happy again, and he knew that he had been right to leave.

10. Though he would never admit it, as time passed by Geese Howard's face faded from his memory, he was slightly embarassed one morning when he was about 60 when he realised he had entirely forgotten what Geese had looked like.
By that time he already had a several grandchildren and could remember their faces clearly. He could still remember the lyrics to every song he had written and numerous other things, Geese's face had faded. His wife and children said it was a good thing, but he still felt slightly melancholy at having forgotten about the man who had been like a father to him.

A/N: This draws from my two longer KoF fics, of which one is finished the other, I've sort of outlined the finish, as I intended to it to be.
