Hojo frowned thoughtfully at the unconscious man strapped to the table. He had sedated the former soldier and restrained him, although he generally preferred his subjects to be conscious during experimentation. This one had reacted violently to subject B's presence, making it an unfortunate necessity to keep him drugged. There wasn't anywhere to move the specimen tanks and equipment; the other room in the basement was housing the one who had interfered with the Jenova project.
It was unusual for subject A to respond so strongly, Hojo thought. The stimulus didn't warrant such an outburst. The human mind was fairly consistent in that respect. A strong emotion could induce a strong reaction, but a weak connection would provoke only a weak emotional response.
Which meant that subject A had been hiding the extent of his connection to subject B, even though he had been pickled in mako and was open to mental suggestion. That suggested that subject A felt protective impulses towards the other specimen.
Hojo wondered what results he would see if he preformed the procedure on subject B and forced subject A to watch.
