Okayy my lovely readers some of you wanted my character Kieri to come back with an encore. Well TADA!!!!

A Special Mother's Day

Little five year old Kieri was on a mission. She was searching for the perfect gift for her mother for, you see, Mother's Day was approaching. She was in the backyard, her round purple eyes searching for something, anything, to use and add to her collection of stuff. In kindergarten earlier, her teacher was evaluating the significance of things that you make for someone and how it makes it even more special than a store bought item. This was her simple plan for Mother's Day. Or so she thought.

Soon it was nap time and she decided to try again tomorrow.

Today was going to be the day she find a gift. Tomorrow's the day and she still doesn't have anything. Everybody else had their gift. Her best friend Macy had made her mom a bracelet out of beads, Mark made his mom a picture frame with the help of his dad, even Billy the Bully got something for his mom.

This is hopeless! Kieri thought as she sighed.

InuYasha came outside to find his daughter with her hands on her hips, staring intensely at the ground.

"You know, you look just like your mommy right about now. You must be upset." He said as he chuckled.

Kieri scrunched up her nose. "I'm not upset! I'm a big girl thank you."

"You even scrunch up your nose like her." InuYasha laughed.

Suddenly InuYasha smelled salt in the air. "Hey are you crying? Come on looking like your mother isn't bad!"

"No!" Kieri sobbed. "It's just…I-I can't find a thing to make m-mommy a mother's d-day gift."

"Oh Kieri," InuYasha said as he placed her in his lap. "It's okay. You will find something. Just make something from your heart."

Kieri thought for a second and her tears dried up and she looked up at her father.

"Thanks Daddy!" And after a hug she went out to gather her mother's gift.

The next day, Kieri walked up to a tombstone and put her necklace around it. The necklace was made of little flowers tied together. She looked over the engraved writing. Kagome Hurigashi 1987-2005 Beloved Daughter, Wife, and Mother

Kieri felt hands on her shoulder and looked up to see her father smiling down at her.

"She would have been so proud." InuYasha said to her. "Listen."

Kieri stood silence as she heard the wind blow her black tresses to and fro. She then smiled again.

"She says 'thank you.'" Kieri whispered. After kneeling down and saying a prayer, her and InuYasha walked home, and as they walked a figure watched them with a smiling face.
