Hey guys this is my first story up here. I hope you like it if your a Shin/Kai lover like me. I just got a new laptop and wanted to write something and well here it is. I hope you like it!

"Shin-Chan!"

The detective sighed as the hyper-active magician's call sounded throughout the mansion. Marking his page and placing his book down on a table, Shinichi sat back in the chair awaiting the magicians' arrival. The sound of pounding feet coming up the stairs made Shinichi smile.

It always amused him that Kaito was capable of being so light on his feet- like at a heist-but also so loud and obnoxious.

But then again that's what Shinichi love about his boyfriend.

Shinichi braced for impact as the footsteps grew louder. Kaito burst into the room and continued running straight at his detective boyfriend.

Throwing his arms around Shinichi, Kaito plopped himself in the detectives lap.

"Ahhh" he sighed "it's so good to be back." Kaito said planting a chaste kiss on the detective's cheek. Shinichi gave Kaito a deadpan look.

"What do you mean? You were only gone a day." And it was true, the magician had traveled to Osaka for a heist (Hattori had been thrilled) and only just returned that morning.

"Well yes but any amount of time away from my Shin-Chan is nothing but torture!" Kaito exclaimed dramatically.

Shinichi rolled his eyes with a fond smile tugging at his lips. Always so overdramatic.

"Well it's kind of late to do anything…" the detective said glancing at his watch.

"I was actually wondering if maybe we could just stay here and like watch a movie or something?" the thief asked hopefully. Shinichi thought for a moment before answering,

"That sounds perfect." He said with a smile. Nudging the magician in the sides to get him to stand up Shinichi said "so what do you want to watch?"

Kaito shrugged, "anything's fine with me."

An hour later found the pair on the living room floor bundled in blankets, fast asleep. The credits to a Disney movie rolling on the screen. Kaito shifted, laying his head on Shinichi's shoulder as said detective's arm wrapped around Kaito's waist. Needless to say they slept wonderfully that night.
