Squirrelflight stared into his amber eyes. They sat watching the sunset by the lake...turning the lake pinks and purples of none of the flowers that grew on the bare earth. Through their eyes, secret words were being sent. Secret words that only they could muster.

In a cabin in the meadow where the wild bees swarm.
Brambleclaw was hurt before, but now looking into her eyes, all the feelings didn't matter...it was just them. Him and her...in love. Eyes locked, hearts beating, same time, same place.

"Oh Brambleclaw," Squirrelflight finally sighed, breaking the silence. "I can't believe I ever doubted you." He stared into her eyes, unblinking pools of green.
"Squirrelflight," he sighed. "Don't blame yourself." Her eyes blinked, and she nuzzled him, taking in his scent.

"Oh Brambleclaw, I know you were just trying to make me see! YOU are the one for me! I should have listened!" Squirrelflight sighed. Brambleclaw wrapped his tail around her, and pulled her closer.

"Its okay now, don't worry," he mewed, as she looked into his eyes, she saw the promises of a new life together. A life with them...and the kits.
We'll follow the rainbow

"Brambleclaw," mewed Squirrelflight.
"Yes?" he asked.
"Well..." she hesitated. "I'm having kits!" Brambleclaw's eyes lit up. Kits to call his own!

If there's life after this...
I'll be there to meet you with a warm, wet kiss.
"Oh, Squirrelflight! This is WONDERFUL!" he meowed. Thier eyes focust at one another...and the sun began to set.

And then...as the sun cast it last rays on the earth, there was a sollouete of two cats, sitting on the shore of the lake, waiting for the promises of a new life.
