"Hey babe, I'm home!" Emily called walking through the front door.
"We are in here" a voice called back informing Emily that her wife was in the kitchen. She walked in to find Hannah stood over the stove and their three month old son in his rocker. Emily gently picked the infant up as he babbled away to himself, smiling at the familiar face.
"Hello buddy! How has my little Eli been today? Have you been behaving for your Momma?" She cooed, bouncing him up and down in her arms eliciting small gurgles from her son. Emily walked over to where Hannah was stood and gently kissed her neck from behind.
"Hey, good day at work?" Hannah about moaned turning around to face her wife.
"It was alright, not as good as being at home with you all day though" Emily sighed kissing Hannah again, this time on the lips "Where is Ava?" Emily asked looking round for her missing daughter "Don't say you left her at nursery again?"
"I thought you were picking her up today" Hannah replied
"Hannah! I told you that you were picking her up today!" Emily almost shouted as she passed Eli to Hannah and began fishing around in her bag for her car keys. Hannah let out a small laugh. "What's so funny?" Emily asked slightly annoyed
"You're just so easy to wind up! Of course I didn't forget her she is out playing in the garden" Hanna explained seeing Emily instantly relax.
"Well it wouldn't be the first time" Emily mocked smacking Hannah round the arm
"Hey that's not fair, I have only forgotten to collect her once and in my defence I was extremely sleep deprived because our son had kept me up all night" Hannah joked placing Eli back in his rocker before returning to Emily and kissing her. Emily deepened the kiss before being interrupted by Hanna's mini-me.
"Mama!" Ava squealed running straight to Emily and colliding with her legs "Hello my little munchkin" Emily cheered lifting her 4yr old daughter up and spinning round causing the child to squeal with joy. Hannah looked on perfectly content with her happy little family
