A/N: One of the only good FFVII poems I ever wrote and so far the only one ever posted. I'm finally getting back into poetry.
Disclaimer: I don't own any character from FFVII they belong to Square-Enix.
Gazing vast across the oceans sky
Crimson orb in his eye
lost in the darkening depths
nowhere to run
nowhere to rest
the weight of the end
deepening the vast fizzer
cloaked in a in waterfall of red
grief more powerful than one can measure
a shower of blood
screaming voices calling out
demon claws scraping the mud
hellish cries all about
weary of every sign
one foot in the grave
everywhere things to remind
but nothing left to save
darker, darker the blackness still
beastly eyes watching
waiting for the moment to kill
a stripe of gold
a river of red
a silent flash of silver
then everything is dead
"you can't save me
not right now
don't say sorry
but please don't frown"
a snatch of black
the light is gone
he can't go back
but he can't move on
trapped in the middle
endless resistance
can't solve the twisted riddle
caught up in the reminiscence
of a story never told
the horrific scene not revealed
unable to shatter the mold
not able to break the seal
lost to world around
once missing
but never found
but he can't keep dismissing
...a shot has been fired
a life has been taken
you can't relit a drown fire
nor fix this level of mistake
a innocent martyr
soul of a demon, heart of a man
there is no better reminder
of what he once had
blood upon the walls
a scalpel upon the table
bullet in through the star that shined
down upon my bloody valentine…
A/N: I got the idea from the 'Manor of Despair' stage in DOC.
