Short one shot, takes place years after draco is adopted. Thank God for this again. I do not own xiaolin showdown nor do I own this speech/ the poem part of it. If the owner takes offence for this being here (since I don't know the owner) I will take it down as soon as they let me know.

Start of story

It had been a few years since Chase had adopted Draco. Draco was now the class validictorian, today he was supposed to give a speech. Draco started off " As the class validictorian I am supposed to give a speech on how I got to be here. Well really, had it not been for my foster father Chase Young and my brother Omi, I would not be here. So I got to thinking about how Parents don't know that their children love them, so I made my own poem to thank them all on behalf of the class.

Thanks to the start to lives we've had.

Thanks for the nights you went without rest.

So many memories, most happy; some sad.

If you weren't perfect you still passed the test.

Holding our hands, holding back all the fears,

thanks you sincerly for all those years.

So many hours you worked to provide.

Multiplied by the days we grew.

When we behaved, and when we defied

never a doubt we could still count on you.

Making our laughter and drying our tears,

thank you sincerly for all those years.

Thanks for the rules we wished were not there.

Thanks for the wisdom sometimes denied.

All of the attention and all of the care.

All of the forgiveness and all of the pride.

Pointing out faults then calling out cheers,

thank you sincerly for all those years.

For the examples you set everyday,

teaching with actions, those lessons hold tight.

We hardly knew how much you could say,

simply by doing what you knew was right.

Now that were older the logic appears,

thank you sincerly for all of those years.

Thanks for the love, not reaquired to be earned.

Not ever fading as time moves along.

You have to know that the love is returned.

Not always showing, but always so strong.

And you still care as your golden time nears,

Thank you sincerly for all those years."

Draco really only meant it to his family, not really caring about everyone's family, but he though he would be nice. Chase was in the front row with Omi and nothing could have taken the smile off his face when Draco read that poem.
