A girl stood alone in the forest. The team had lost each other and she worried about how Alice was holding her own. The sun had disappeared beyond the horizon what seemed like ages ago and she could see her breath as it steamed in the air. The moon glowed a light orange-red color, almost as orange as the eyes gazing at it. The inky black darkness made even the strongest hunters vulnerable and beyond the shadows lurked darker things that would make even the worst nightmares seem as sweet as a truck of pure cane sugar. The deep blue haired girl released a heavy puff of warm air and zipped up her long, dark sleeveless coat. Underneath she wore a Long shirt whose sleeves that fell past her fingertips by just under five inches, the temperature ate through it instantly like termites through a toothpick in a Saturday morning cartoon. "Keep it together Chyan, you can do this…" she made the feeble and shaky attempt to reassure herself with half meaningful words as the frigid air bit at uncovered skin between her boots and shorts. As she shuffled ahead slowly her short, tied up hair blew behind her wildly and the moon gave the blue color an orange glow.
All was quiet and eerie, and suddenly not even the wind dared to breathe any longer. Chyan closed her bright eyes and stopped as a low sound was growing audibly louder and louder, the reverberating splintering of trees echoed like thunder and the daggers of a crimson blood lusting gaze pierced her very soul. On reflexes, faster than the crack of a whip, she had rolled up her black and cyan oversized sleeves and reached for her ragged bag that was only held together only by seams that were resewn hundreds or thousands of times over. Her fingertips had brushed over the handle of a miniature suitcase-like object before recognizing it and snatching it quickly as a roar tore through the trees and pitch black nothingness. Whatever that thing out there was, it was big and had found her. Rebounding snarls that issued afterward meant there was even more of the blood-thirsty beasts. Chyan felt for the emergency sugar loaded chocolate bars or anything else sweet in her pockets. The sugar made her mind and body zap across land like a lightning strike. Her hand had only swiped past a single one, undoubtedly it was quickly decided to be saved for later.
Her time was shattered like glass as the giant bearlike creature toppled the tree in front of her, its dark fur marked with white reeked of slaughter and Its claws and teeth were dyed dark crimson. She glanced at the splinters that used to be a huge, strong oak. There was no doubt Chyan would have suffered the same fate as the branches if her quick reflexes hadn't kicked in. "Well that would have left a mark." She said joking lightly gazing up the creature of pure evil who wasn`t amused at all. This monster was out for blood and with its equipment of razor sharp teeth and claws it was more than capable of finishing things quickly. The girl smiled full of confidence and a mild ego, her orange eyes narrowed and upon pressing a button the box in her hand hissed and grew out into a chainsaw of deep blue and various black and gray accents. "Bring it, teddy bear."
The monster reared with a ground quaking roar and charged. As her mind realized what was going on around her the world had slowed like molasses and her heart pounded in her chest. Chyan glanced down at her shaking hands as her ego crumbled quickly as a realization tore her thought process to shreds. Where is Alice when you need her?! her mind cried, she had never fought without that faunis and didn`t plan on dying on her so early. By the time she had snapped back the beast of hell itself was before her and running was obliterated from her options list. Without a thought she back flipped out of the way of a massive paw with saber-like claws. Though avoiding certain death the rash decision didn`t go without punishment and it was quickly realized by Chyane. A quick glance downward was sprayed with red and the sickening smell of iron. "Well that went better than planned" she chuckled holding the gash on her side "but…yer gonna pay teddy bear." Her voice suddenly turned dark and dripped something sinister.
In a fast but fluid motion the human girl had pulled the bar of cocoa, sugar and milk out of her coat pocket with such force as to rip the seams and fabric off completely. Chyan chuckled madly as she took a bite of the candy and her eyes turned red and were engulfed in an illusion of blue flames. "It`s time to get this show on the road." Her words echoed in the expanse of trees and shadows. She gripped the handle of the chainsaw and it the motor revved at an alarming speed.
In less than the time it takes for one to blink the cyan girl reached and had jumped over the not-so-visibly confused creature leaving only embers from the illusion to mark her high speed path. "HEY TEDDY UP HERE!" she yelled as she fell toward it with a swing and chaste slice of her chainsaw through its hard skull and front of its body like a white hot knife through already soft butter. A screeching cry of agony echoed as it disappeared in a burning blue flame, nothing remained of it, there wasn`t even a pool of its blood to mark where it had fallen. The fire had consumed all of that hell-made creature and vanished.
"Now if your friends will leave me be, I`ll be finding my teammates so I can kick their butts." The girl said pulling up her hood as the blue flame extinguished. She had begun to walk away as a red-orange orb began to raise at the timberline. Her speed keeping up until her crash about 12 minutes later.
