First X-Men story. I hope you like it.~Jennex
I don't describe Alex and Keonia in here so here are there descriptions.
Keonia
She has shoulder length dirty blond/light brown wavy hair. She was blue eyes , and a few freckles. She usually wears a pair of blue jeans, pink, grey and white shoes and pink shirt with a silver swirl design going up on her left side.
Alex
She as long straight blond hair with brown eyes. She wears khaki pants ,and a blue shirt with small neon green stripes. She also wears brown boots and a black belt. Sometimes she will wear a til jacket.
"Mmmmm."
"Your back again,"asked Alex.
"Yep,"I replied as we closed our lockers.
"I think you need to go to the doctor. Your back has been hurting for two days nonstop,"she said as we walked to our next class.
"Yea, I have been thinking that too. I have tried almost everything to rid of the pain," I nodded.
"Massaging, hot pad, ice pack and cracking it?"
"Like I said ,about everything."
"Ouch."
"I know. I am the one hurting."
"You know something else we can agree on,"said Alex as she looked at her watch.
"What."
" is going to put us in detention if we are late for her class. Come on!"
We both ran to class ,but I didn't notice a metal feather slipped off my back.
"Hi Mom. Hi Dad,"I said as I walked in the house with Dad cooking an early dinner.
"Hi Keonia,"they said in union.
"How is your back doing,"asked Mom.
"Same as yesterday,"I replied.
"If this isn't up by tomorrow I am calling the doctor,"her mom said concerned.
"Okay," I said as I laid down on the sofa,"How was work?"
"I had one of the cats have 7 kittens, all healthy and 3 dogs got adopted today", replied her mom.
"Looks like it wasn't one of the most busiest day you have had. What about you Dad?"
"The CEO of the company is making all the employees sign an anti-mutant contract. If we know how a mutant is or help them and don't tell, we would lose your job and wouldn't get a well paid one for a long time."
"Why would a CEO do that,"I asked suddenly interested.
"The CEO is a cousin to Donald Pierce ," he replied returning to the food.
"That makes more since,"I said.
Donald Pierce was a mutant hater and was taking it to the press. Saying that 'Mutants can't be trusted' just because they were different.
"Enough talk of work,"said Dad,"Lets eat."
I woke up with daggers stabbing in my back. I kicked off my covers and rolled out of bed and onto my floor. For the last two days the only time I could escape the pain of my back was in sleep ,but tonight was different. I started to crawl to the door. Something was happening so I had to get Mom and Dad.l went inch by inch ,the pain getting worse and worse. Before I hit my door a large shooting pain went all across my back then nothing... The pain stopped suddenly.
"That is odd,"I thought.
I decided to go back to bed when I felt something weird. I felt the edge of the wall ,but I wasn't near it. I turned on my flashlight that was laying on the dresser next to my bed. I turned it on and looked in the mirror trying to turn around. I almost dropped the flashlight. On my back were wings!
"I... I am a mutant."
