Fred walked around the streets of Los Angeles; she had heard the music coming from blocks away. But that wasn't the reason she had left the hotel. She needed to breathe, which should have been a paradox in her mind. To breathe the harsh fumes of the city or to be in large lobby of the Hyperion, which always smelled of Lorne's aroma candles or Cordelia's latest perfume. But she needed away from the place that had cause so much sorrow.

She came across the street to find it was a concert in the park, which was sponsored by a popular radio station. She couldn't help but to laugh when a memory of an event like this came to her mind. She had gone with her friends to a concert of a local band, which nobody had heard of, but she had enjoyed it all the same. However that wasn't why it was so vivid in her mind. She had received her first real kiss that night. His name had been Sean Kingston. He was in her chemistry class, but had been a year or so older then her since she had skipped a few grades.

She smiled at the thought of Sean, and went slowly into the dancing crowd. Not wishing to wait for anyone to ask her to dance, and not knowing if she was allowed to partner with anyone, since she was taken. But she pushed that thought away from her mind as she just swayed to music.

It could have been minutes or seconds before she felt someone's eyes upon her. She looked up to find that they belonged to an old friend. If they still were friends, with all those hateful words that she had said, could he still believe in their friendship? But he had taken her in, when no one else would listen to her revengeful words; given her the advice that she needed to hear, and he had kept up with her.

Except now things were becoming clearer for her to remember. Was it friendship that was on his mind all this time? Who would go to those lengths just for a friend? She confessed to herself only, that she had overheard parts of his and her lover's conversation before the performing the spell to get Cordelia's memory back.

He was coming closer which was a strange move him, but he had changed, they all had. No words were spoken when he came face to face with her, but he offered his hand and they leisurely started to dance. Fred laughed out loud, at the waltz they were dancing. The music had been a new style rock, however the tempo had slow-down. She clung him, as if it was the only way that she could go on. She remembered a quote from someone where in her cluttered mind, "Some people dance to remember, some dance to forget." And with this dance, she was dancing to forget.
