A/N: Actually, this was only meant to be an essay, but my best friend had suggested that I post it online and see what happens.

Prologue

A place of comfort, love and never ending bliss. Isn't that what they all call it? All his life, he'd come to the belief that he was meant to go to Hell, burn and continue being punished for his sins, but it seemed like they had planned something else for him.

Far away, he looked, bright crimson eyes staring in anguish at the sight of the person he only so ever loved standing beside the man who had ruined, brutally tortured, and experimented on him without a care and made him the monster he is today; the monster he thinks he is today. It dawned on him then, head spinning as he questioned how someone as cruel as him be here and look as though he had attained everything he ever wished for.

'How hypocritical of me,' he thought.

Tearing away his eyes away from them, he looked around and felt his insides crumble. He was in the Promise Land- the place where every good being was meant to go, after the life stream has taken back the only thing it has given to the world-life. A question that remains unanswered floats in his mind: 'How can a demon like me, end up in such an immaculate, heavenly place?'

He stood rigid in his spot, heart tugging and beating erratically as he glanced around, breath suddenly caught in his throat as he felt those familiar eyes burn right through him, followed by another set of pair that he would never ever forget. Anger rose within him, wishing to break free and just finally do what he's always wanted to do with that malicious, horrible, son of a gun, yet, he held it in, for he could never do such revolting things in front of her.

'Vincent…' she called out, voice sounding so distant, yet so near; beautiful, yet sickening to hear.

He closed his eyes, savoring the feeling of her calling out to him once again, something he has missed for over thirty years, locked away under a mansion, tucked painfully in the coffin that he had been encased in by the same man that stood close to her, a mysterious smile plastered on his unattractive features, his eyes dancing in happiness as they both walked closer to him. He could hear their steps, and for a split second, he wished he was someplace else.

He was in Paradise, the place which has never ever crossed his mind, not even once, yet he was here, standing right in front of them, alive, yet lifeless all the same. This was something that he could never believe, for if they were there, only then do nightmares begin to exist, but then again, isn't Heaven only filled with good?

Should I continue? Tell me what you think!
