Parker Mackenzie pulled her heavy suitcase out of the trunk of her car.
She wondered if she over-packed, but on second thought, she remembered a
girl can't leave home without anything from floss to a rain poncho.
Parker had just celebrated her 17th birthday before school ended. Her parents surprised her with a 2004 blue Saturn Ion. She was thrilled and bragged to all of her friends. She knew she was wealthier then all her friends and was proud of it.
After carefully re-zipping her seemingly 100 pound suitcase, she sauntered to the cabin where she would be sleeping the next two weeks. Parker and many of the other students from Hillridge high had volunteered to work at a summer camp for 14 days. Parker was very excited. Nothing but swimming, eat smores round the campfire, and of course spending time with the most gorgeous guy in school, Ethan Craft. That was her main reason for signing up. She didn't want Kate, Lizzie, or any of the other girls to steal her territory.
Parker walked up to cabin 1, the cabin she would be a camp counselor two. Parker was upset that she had to share a cabin with Lizzie, Claire, and Malina. Malina was just too young and obnoxious, Claire was too preppy, and Lizzie was just too, well Lizzie-ish. She never really liked Lizzie. Call it jealousy, but Lizzie was just too good of friends with Ethan.
As Parker began putting away her miscellaneous make-up items into her designated dresser, she heard a bumping noise coming from outside. She didn't really think much of it until it kept getting louder and faster.
"Lizzie, Claire, Malina? Is that you? She cautiously walked to the window and looked outside, there was nothing there. Suddenly, a mysterious figure began approaching her from behind the car. Parker was puzzled, because the person was 7 feet tall and wore a hockey mask. In his right hand, he wielded a machete. Parker had seen enough scary movies to know that this was not good. She sprinted out the front door and ran down the steps of the cabin until the man appeared from behind the side of the cabin. "My keys are in the car. If I can just get the psycho far away as possible from me, I'll be able to make it to my car and can drive away," she thought to herself. She ran toward to car as fast as she could, knowing that Jason, or who she thought was Jason, was probably as fast if not faster then her. She got to the car, swung open the door and began furiously looking for the keys. "Shit, they're in my purse!" She screamed. She yanked her purse from the backseat and pulled out the key. But before she could start the car, Jason came up from behind and with one sickening whack, Parker's head flew off, landing on the dashboard with a dull thud. Not wanting his presence to be known by any other of the counselors, Jason grabbed Parker's body and head and dragged them off into the forest, hiding them from sight.
