A/N: Who didn't love all the Booth/Brennan in 'The Man in the Morgue'? Ah, the love. I had to write a filler. And I'll probably write another B/B off this eppy, so keep an eye out!
Disclaimer: Not mine. But I do wish I owned Booth... ;)

After Brennan hung up the phone with Detective Harding, she hesitated a moment before lifting the receiver once again and dialing the familiar digits of her partner's cell phone number.
"Agent Booth."
"Booth, it's-"
He cut her off. "Bones?"
"Yes. Look, I need you to tell Dr. Goodman that I won't be in for a few more days. There's been a… change in plans."
"What happened?" Worry began to creep into his voice.
"There was… I just…" How could she explain something she couldn't remember?
"Bones, what happened?"
"I guess I was in some sort of accident."
"You guess?"
"I can't…" She sighed. "I can't remember."
"I'm coming down there."
"No, Booth, you don't have to-"
"I said, I'm coming down there. You need help." He paused. When he spoke again, his voice was much softer, concerned. "You're okay, right?"
She smiled, though he couldn't see her. "I'll be fine."
"Good. I'll see you soon."

Because Brennan was on what she called a 'vacation,' he was not allowed to fly down to New Orleans privately. Nor would he be reimbursed if he flew commercially.
Even though he couldn't take a jet, Booth used his badge to get himself on the very next flight to Louisiana. He made a mental note to apologize to the people he'd gotten bumped off the flight and that extremely new attendant he'd made cry.
As the flight wore on, he kept glancing impatiently at his watch, tapping his foot nervously. He was worried about Temperance. And those three cups of coffee he'd had probably weren't helping his anxiety much.
When he'd heard the word 'accident,' he'd feared for her safety.
And for all the words that were still being left unsaid between them. What if she hadn't been so lucky?
To calm himself down, he reminded himself that she was all right, everything was okay.
He'd be there soon enough.
Because she needed him.
