This is a new Drabble series for the FMA I'm hosting.
It took four years but finally, after everything they'd been through, it was over. Having Alphonse's arm draped across his shoulder as they pushed the gate open was one of the best moments of Ed's life. Al was here, in his own body, at long last. Sure, he was a bit malnourished, but Ed knew his brother would make it through okay. It's what they always did. Al would finally be able to check all those things off his list; Ed thought his missing leg was well worth it as he looked over his shoulder and caught Al's weary smile.
