Hello :) Here a 5x8 that I wrote time ago, it's not my first fanfiction but it's the first I decided to translate in English.
Luckly I discovered that in this site there're a lot of Beta Readers that can help... for this reason I must thank for eternity AiryAquarius, she's an awesome BR! She bore with all my mistakes (and I assure I wrote horrible things! By the way, I'm quite sure that I'm writing a bad intro too XD). So if you need a beta reader, choose her! She's really competent and careful.
And now... Enjoy~
RESIGNATION
It was raining. The four guys had fortunately found an inn in time, and everyone was holed up in their own room. No matter how much different their lives could be, even as they were different from each other, the rain for one reason or another represented a past of despair, and so, whenever the rain's going to fall down, the morale of the group went off suddenly.
Hakkai was sitting on the bed under the window and he was covered with a blanket. In the darkness of that room he was savoring a cup of tea, his only company the sound of the loud rain and the pain it represented.
Suddenly a flash of lightning pierced the sky, and through the window it brightened the room. In that moment he saw his hand, a hand that whatever he would have done, even if he had done his best, it would have been remain soiled by blood. At these reflections he felt like he had a hole in his stomach, the pain of no longer being able to find a person to hold between his arms and protect had transformed. The desire to not see that blood had been replaced by something else.
Finally in the storm came the thunder echoing the word "Resignation".
He heard a knock at the door,
"Hey, I'm coming!" it was Gojyo that walked in and sat next to him, enjoying the cigarette he had just lighted. "Shit, during this fucking weather I can't go out..."
Hakkai smiled "Don't get some such strange ideas, if you catch a cold, Sanzo would shoot you for sure."
"Maybe in that way I could enjoy the care of a cute nurse!"
"Oh yeah! If you survive!" They laughed, but another flash brought back the discontent.
Although it was just a moment, Hakkai saw it very well, the same hand, that a moment before was pregnant with his grief, had become immaculate, clean, and he saw it for what it really was. The thunder that followed that strong light shouted again in his head.
By then he understood that someone existed with the ability to free him from the blood; the one who would accept him for what he was, the person that he wanted to protect somehow, the only one that in his own way could make his past acceptable, that someone who made his heart pound, reminding him what it meant to live, the one panacea existed and was sitting next to him.
Gojyo finished his cigarette and sighed.
"Well, I'm going to try to see if there is any nice girl here... we are always on the go dammit! It makes no sense to waste an opportunity like this, because of this fucking rain!ยป, He began to move, "And you sleep!" The red haired guy winked and closed the door behind him.
Hakkai's hand followed Gojyo as if it would grab him, then the guy sighed deeply.
Though he had the solution with himself, the red blood that enveloped those hands wouldn't have ever fade.
