This story will be taking place after all of the Episodes of Escaflowne. I am righting this story because I can't stand the fact of how poorly the end of this wonderful series was ended. Now onto the first chapter.

Chapter 1

It had been five since Hatomi left Gia, and all of her newly made friends behind. However the one person that she missed the most was Van. She had noticed over time that it was surprisingly simple for her to keep her promise to him. For she had never forgotten, just how much she had cared for him. In fact the more her friends and family members tried to set her up with men, the more her thoughts strayed towards Van.

She couldn't but to compare them all to Van. After all he had shown so much bravery, in constantly risking his own life in order to save hers, as well as risking his life to try and repair the damage that was done to his country.

It was soon after she had returned back to earth that she had decided to take up a sword. Hatomi had started taking classes in the art of swordsmanship, just so that she could feel closer to Van.

Her parents had only agreed to it in the first place because they figured that it was just some sort of faze that she was going through. Her early instructors had been impressed with her knowledge of sword fighting. Although how could she not know a fair amount after all of the sword fights that she had witnessed, between Van and Alan.

And now after five years she was about to become the youngest person, as well as the only female in Japan, to hold the title of Sword Master. Her family had not been to happy to her this piece of news, because how they saw it was what rich man wanted a wife that new how to fight with a sword.

However Hatomi didn't care because she was extremely happy, for when she was fighting others in sword battles, she was able to clear her mind. This feat alone had recently started to become extremely difficult, because it seemed to her like all of her thoughts revolved around Van.

That is how she had managed to come up with her plan.. She planed to use her grandmothers necklace again the day after she was to declare her as a Sword Master. She hoped to use the necklace, in the hopes of being able to wish herself back into Gia. Now all she had to do was to keep her nerves contained. As well as hope that Van wasn't seeing anyone, or worse married yet. If he was she was hoping that he would still want her to stay around, although with her now being skilled with a sword he wouldn't have to expend nearly enough energy to try and protect her from any danger that she may have to face.

To make sure that her family would not miss her during her time in Gia, she had told them that she was going to be going on a vacation , then she would be traveling to America to look for a job, and that she would be leaving in two days

She didn't like lying to her friends and family members, but the way she saw it she had to. If they knew that she was leaving them to go to another planet, they would most likely lock her up in a mental institution, making sure that she would not be able to leave their sight.
