i dont usually try poetry b/c i dont consider myself the next Frost or Poe or Emily Dickinson of the generation but this idea hit me and WHAM i just had to write it so i hope you really like it...

As
I sit here by my window
A
glazed expression on my face
I
wonder how I came about,
To
be in such a dazzling state.
I
heave a heavy sigh
Unwary
of the time passing by,
And
I wonder why things have come to be
Just
the way they are.
I
picture your cold facade
A
gentle smile graces my face
As
I remember that deep inside
You're
as warm as a sunny day.
You
have hurt me,
That
even you must know,
But
no matter how hard I've tried
I
just can't seem to let you go.
You
have me skipping like a little girl,
Tracing
your name everywhere, even in the dirt.
Its
funny you see,
How
things came to be
I
never thought I would love you,
Especially
by the way you treated me.
Now
if I don't see you,
God,
I really forget how to breathe.
I
grow frustrated and desperate
And
I don't know how I will ever find release.
But
then I see you smile at me,
And
when you hold me in your arms,
And
I feel your everlasting warmth
I
know this is how everything meant to be.
