A/N: This… is going to be a long one.

Kirā: What he means is that this story is most likely to be canceled at the 5,000 mark. Rated T for language, gore, safety, and good grammar.

A/N: I don't own One Piece!

It wasn't supposed to end like this. It WASN'T SUPPOSED TO END LIKE THIS… It… couldn't end like this. My name was Kirā Yubashiri. To start this record out, let me clarify things. I was 23, a pirate of some insignificant crew, and was currently dying of a vicious attack. It came before it should have, and wiped out half of my crew, including my captain. It's no use remembering his name. It doesn't matter. Not now. A bit more important, I had a devil fruit. My crew, while not important, was still a pirate crew with some knowledge of Haki and the like, but like always, that didn't matter. My devil fruit was the Time Time fruit and was extremely powerful. That thought gave me one last option. I had seen many interesting things, and the arguably most interesting was when one of my crew members was pushed off of the ship. He had a devil fruit. The results are extremely curious, and no one exactly knows what happened, but this was my theory. When a devil fruit user hits the water, an effect known as a 'Tear' appears, reversing the devil fruits power in on itself. The end result is a blast of the exact opposite of a devil fruits abilities. The devil fruit user was a Paramecia-Type fruit, that controlled heat. What happened was the complete and utter absence of any and all heat in that area, cooling it to an extreme length. I had a thought. If this works, I would be the first. So, I jumped in. It was extremely painful, but that wasn't the end of my tale. I found myself crying, exactly 23 years and 3 months before that incident, as a baby. I have no memory of the first three years. All I know is that my parents disappeared. That was all I remembered of them. I try to remember more of them, but I can't. It was my 4th year when I first tested out my devil fruit. The reason why was that slowing, not to mention stopping time would require a strong body. It was then I realized… I had Armament Haki! I could withstand the strong currents and slow time. I never had managed to stop time, but I could slow time to up to 20% speed easily. This time, I was going for 10%. This was enough to tear my muscles, quite honestly, even with my extremely strong muscles, but only without Armament. This time I was to use Armament Haki, as my skill had not diminished in the slightest. I snapped my fingers, and the world ground to a halt. I got up from my bed and stretched my muscles. I then let time resume as normal, but not before I sat down again. I told the nursemaid, as I was living in an orphanage, that I would be going outside, and then bolted outside before she stopped me. That was a mistake. Before I could track the movement with my eyes, I heard a rubbery 'SNAP,' and I, as I activated Armament Haki instinctively, felt myself land on my but, right inside the doorway. I gasped. This… was not early Grand Line bullshit, as I, even as I child, could easily follow Grand Line battles. No, this was easily New World levels of strength. "Well, well." I froze. The nursemaid had seen me. "You not only have Armament Haki but a devil fruit." Seeing my concerned face, she hurriedly says, "No, wait! I have a devil fruit too!" My eyes shot out of my head. How was this coincidence possible. I facepalm, as I realize that this was actually most likely a normal occasion, as we, despite how early we were in the Grand Line, to have someone capable of protecting the children within range, and so why not the nursemaid herself. I look up at her and see her stretching her hand out, like rubber. She smiles, and explains, "I have the Gomu Gomu no Mi, the Rubber Rubber Fruit. I am made of rubber, and, while I can't control it, I am plenty strong without that! KAHAHAHAHA!" I burst out of my shock, to an inquisitive look across her face. "You obviously know about Armament Haki, but don't remember your parents. The only way for you to know would be… the Time Time Fruit. Paramecia-Class. You experienced Devil Fruit Reversal. You… traveled back in time!" Huh. Now that I thought of it, that was extremely powerful. Huh. I decided to start explaining, and state "I have the Time Time Fruit and experienced Devil Fruit Reversal, whatever that means. I am also a New World-Level Pirate." She smiles, a cunning smile. I suddenly realize that I didn't ask about whether she was marine or pirate. She takes one look at me and bursts out laughing, knowing my train of thoughts. "KAHAHAHAHA! I'm a marine, but I don't follow that 'Absolute Justice' shit. I'm a rare 'Decent Marine.'" I breathe a sigh of relief. She smiles again, and I not-so-subtly let out a silent scream. "However, I was looking for a good person to succeed me. I don't have that many years left, KAHAHAHAHA!" I, still wary ask one question. "What, exactly, do you mean?" She grins again, and I remember that one time I saw Garp beat up a nearby pirate ship. It was simultaneously the most awe-inspiring and terrifying moments I had ever experienced. It was that exact feeling right then, knowing that you could be destroyed in a second, possibly less. That you could be decimated at a moments notice. That is what I felt right then. "Well, I train you, so you can train my successor." I realize two things right then. First, she is going to die, no matter what I wanted, and second, I will be a legend, training another legend.

4 Years Later

"Gear Second!" I am woken up by that scream, and I quickly dart out of bed. I just barely make it, and my bed is decimated. Not for the first time, I have flashbacks of Garp. I have also learned how to use Gear Second, but only a bit, and only because I am strong enough to withstand it with moderate amounts of Armament Haki. It is theoretically possible to use Gear Second, as it only required speeding up. The next four gears, though, were a different matter. They all required inflation of body parts. Knowing how to do it, though, was a different matter. I knew every single move in her Gomu-Ken fighting style, and it was about time for the practicals. I didn't know what the practicals were, exactly, but I knew that it would be fighting. So, waking up to an Armament-enhanced punch right in my face for the first time really made my day. This was the third day, and she was talking about something interesting. We had already used Devil Fruit Release to release our Devil Fruit, making it so it manifested out of my body. What she was talking about, however, was startling. Impossible. But… was it? "You should release about 50% of your Devil Fruit, and then, eat about 50% of my fruit. Paramecia-Class get lower in power, while Zoans get smaller, and with Logias nothing changed. Special Paramecia-Class is the most similar to Logia, so, while you might be a bit less rubbery, you will be able to execute my moves."

12 Years Later

It is finally time. I am 19, the same age as I set out last time. Nothing really has happened in the last twelve years. It has quite literally only training. For the first year, at least. When the sixth year came, she gave up on a successor. She simply tossed the merged Gomu Gomu no Mi (50%) into the sea. She died in her sleep 10 days later, so I hope that she had a successor. I am sailing in a large ship, enough to fit twenty. It is a strong ship, so it could withstand anything the grand line throws at it. Just how I like my ships. I had mastered Gomu-Ken, as I knew exactly how from the theoretical lessons, and was heading out to the first island. Whiskey Peak.
