The sky was pink and the clouds looked flat. I was in my car, having a small panic attack.

"Oh, hey," I leant out of the window to a brown haired guy in a denim jacket outside, "do you know where the ninety-nineth precinct is?"

"Oh, hi! Are you transferring there?" He smiled,

"Yeah, why?"

"I'm Jake Peralta."

"Skylar Lewis."

He pointed to a building, "It's just over there!"

"Thanks, dude!"

I drove into my parking spot, humming a Beatles song. Parking, I opened my door, still cringing a little at "Thanks, dude!". Why did I say that? I am a total dumbass. Getting out, I turned around and put my phone in my pocket. I was instantly met by the two most intimidating people I have ever seen.

One was a tall guy, with muscles the size of my head, the other was a girl in black leather matching her hair.

"H-hey?"

"Oh, hello!" The tall guy turned, smiling,

"'Sup." The girl looked up,

"I'm... I'm joining the ninety-ninth precinct, where can I speak to the C.O?"

"Oh, go up the elevator, and go to the second floor, then go to Captain Holt's office."

I smiled and walked in and went to the lift.

"Ah. You must be Skylar Lewis."

"Yes, you're Captain Holt, right?"

"Correct."

"Cool, cool, cool, I have one thing to say."

"Yes?"

"I'm a trans guy."

"Oh."

"As your captain, I believe that I should introduce our new detective, Detective Skylar Lewis."

"Oh, you're the dude I saw!" Jake called,

"Uh, yeah, I used to work at the 69th precinct-"

"Nice,"

"-you must be Charles. Yeah, I used to work there but I needed to transfer because of... reasons."

"Ooh, intriguing." A seemingly-citizenesque person spoke,

"You must be Gina!"

"The queen."

Later, Jake pulled me aside and asked, "Hey, why did you leave the Six-Nine?"

"Discrimination."

"What?"

"I'm very much trans."

"Oh. Oh. Ohhh."
