Well, my friend who is a fellow Kamen Rider fan told me that the Sakura Rider really needs a huge improvement. He pointed out that while Ryuki Riders are very powerful, the way they blended into Sakura Wars is confusing as I had Goldphoenix and Dragblacker as the current and only Mirror Monsters, and in their category, Contract Monsters. Not only that, I also made the main character become a Joker-class Undead without any explanation so he asked me that I should choose only one Kamen Rider type as the main theme. I love both Ryuki and Blade, but in the second thought, I think Blade is better in building the story around it so I decide to write a new story, still Sakura Rider, but involving only Blade. Now, there is it.

There are two things that I should make them clear first: There won't be a Battle Fight in this fic as the Rouze Cards are brought along with the main character, I rename him as Kagami Kenzaki as homage to Kazuma Kenzaki, and no one in Sakura Wars possess the ability to unseal them so yeah, this is a standard 'throwing a Rider into a foreign world' type of story. Second, Kagami can use many if not all Rouze Cards the first time he transforms but then majority of them get faded/sealed/unavailable and he can only unlock them gradually as the story processes. And with that, Sakura Rider: Blade begins!

Disclaimer: I don't own anything except my OC. And please forgive me for my randomly using of name order. I only use the way it sounds the best when speaking, like 'Ogami Ichirou' instead of 'Ichirou Ogami'.

~Chapter 1~

~Da Nang city, 2019~

Kenzaki Kagami, or Nguyen Minh Long, nickname 'KK', a half Japanese half Vietnamese 20 years old college student. Other than his heritage, he was just a normal young man with an avid fashion for Kamen Rider, especially the Blade series. He owned all kinds of KR Blade toys from the DX to the Complete Sound Modification version he had just received last week from Amazon. Almost like a routine, after returning from school, he would don the Blay Buckle and try the Henshin pose just like Kamen Rider Blade himself, at least 3 or 4 times.

Today was one of those days. Except there was an incoming storm, which was pretty normal in Vietnam during late summer, so Kagami got home earlier than usual. Weather reporter said that it would be a heavy rain throughout two days and he got a sudden bad feeling so he decided to take a break from his part-time job as well.

"Well, home sweet home…" Kagami murmured as he quickly changed into his casual clothes, and not forgetting to put on the CSM Blay Buckle. He faced his reflections in the mirror and posed himself after turning on the Buckle. The standby sound of the device made him more excited.

"HENSHIN!"

Rather than the usual 'Turn Up', the belt produced a distorted 'Error' sound. Kagami frowned in confusion as he picked up the User Manual on the table and strangely, it didn't list anything that would make that announcement. Shrugging, he decided to try it again. This time he inserted the 'JOKER' card into the Buckle, thinking that it would be amusing when the belt still made the 'Turn Up' one. To his surprise, it did.

TURN UP

The toy cackled in lightning and caused a blue projection of the enlarged JOKER rouze card appeared before Kagami. Filled with curiousity, he poked a finger into the hologram but suddenly a hand that looking so similar to that of the Joker Undead grabbed his arm. Kagami struggled in vain as the grip was too tight. Soon it pulled him into the hologram.

Ogami Ichirou was an Ensign Navy officer that recently got transferred to work under the Commander Yoneda, who was famous for his heroic deeds during the Kouma War in the past. At first he was very happy to serve a hero, but when he arrived at Teito, things got complicated. It turned out the Commander was now the Manager of the Imperial Theater, a literal theater. He assigned Ogami to be the ticket clipper, which was a huge insult to a navy soldier like him.

"Why am I even here? If they wanted to humiliate me that much, they could just derank me to a Private or something." Ogami pondered to himself while watching the busy streets of the Imperial city. Behind him, a sad Shinguji Sakura stared at his back, wanting to comfort him with the truth but she could not.

"Well, such a fate for me…" Ogami said the last time and returned to his patrol when he saw a giant image of a golden, skeleton-ish Heart on the sky. The people below got confused and panic as they stared and pointed frantically at the phenomenon. Not far from the theater, on a bridge across the river, a demonic beast appeared and started rampaging around.

"CLASS RED EMERGENCY ON KURAMAE BRIDGE AREA! HANAGUMI, ASSEMBLE! I REPEAT.."

Ogami was startled by the siren but soon the announcement urged him to get to the Kuramae Bridge as soon as possible. He was a soldier, and a soldier's duty was to protect the Teito as all costs!

Kagami was in a strange place. The surrounding buildings' architecture suggested that he was in an early-1900s, specifically Taishou era-style, area. But it was impossible, Kagami thought, as just about a moment ago he was in 2019, and in Vietnam too! There was no way he could end up in not only Japan, but Taishou Era. Above him, the Joker Sigil disappeared.

'Oh well, I can ask around. It's not like my Japanese is poor.' Kagami mused as he wandered around until he saw a commotion on the bridge ahead. Being a curious person, he approached it and was shocked to see a monster, a literal monster, killing people and destroying vehicles.

"Holy shit! Is this a dream?!" Kagami fell to his butt and asked aloud. He then realized what had happened earlier and looked down at his waist. The Blay Buckle was still on his body but now it looked different: still the same metallic color but it felt so…real? He detached the device, and it called off the belt like the real thing, and examined it to see the Joker card still inside. He subconsciously reached his jacket and more surprised to see a bunch of Rouze cards. Kagami quickly found the Change Beetle card and inserted it into the Blay Buckle, which suddenly floated from his hand and coiled around for few seconds until it attached to his waist again. The standby sound played loudly as if to urge him. Panting in nervousness and excitement, Kagami raised his shaking finger in the air while his left hand folded into a fist and rested on his side.

"HENSHIN!" Kagami shouted as he pulled the flip trigger on the Buckle, which revealed the red template with the gold Spade symbol. The monster heard this and turned to him.

TURN UP

The device shot out the blue projection of Category Ace of Spade, crashing it into the monster which got blown backward. Kagami's mouth dropped at the scene but then he gathered his courage and made a run through the hologram. Kamen Rider Blade appeared!

"H-H-HOLY SHIT! I did it! I became Blade!"

Kagami exclaimed in shock as he looked at his suit. The Rider looked like the original Blade but there was an additional card pouch on the right side of the belt, which he suspected to store the other Rouze cards that did not belong to the Spade suit. Kagami drew the Blade Rouzer and looked at the LED display; it showed 6000 AP, a bit higher than usual. But this wasn't the time for admiring. He glared at the monster behind the helmet and charged at it.

Not knowing to him, his voice was now changed to sound like Kazuma Kenzaki himself.

Ogami arrived at the scene to find a man in weird metallic-looking armor fighting against a monster, the latter seemed to gain the upper hand as its claws kept hitting the armor, causing sparks to emit and hurt the man in suit. He drew his pair of katanas, a white aura covering him in process, and decided to lend a hand.

"I'll help you!" Ogami shouted and delivered a cross slash at the leg of the beast. Blade gave him a thumbs-up as approval and the two ganged up on the monster. But it had its body build and stamina as the advantages. It swung Ogami into the lamb pole.

"Argh!"

"Hey, you okay?!" Blade severed the monster's right arm and stood protectively before Ogami. Seeing the limbing movement from it, the Kamen Rider decided that it's time. He pushed the button on his sword and ten slots of cards circle around the handler. He drew two, one having the image of gold lion and the other was a deer with large horns. He slid them on the scanning spot on the Blade Rouzer.

THUNDER

LIGHTNING PUNCH

The counter on the Rouzer reduced to 4200 as Blade threw the cards forward as they became projections and were absorbed into Blade's fist and body. He ran to the monster with his right hand cackling with lightning before delivering a bone-cracking punch that electrified and blew it from inside. The beast began spilling purple blood and soon exploded.

"So cool…" Ogami muttered in awe as Blade helped him stand up. Two of them then suddenly got swarmed by a dozen of similar monsters.

"Damn it!" Blade cursed as he and Ogami fended off the attacks but not enough. One monster managed to slash on Ogami's chest and leave a long trail of blood. His jaw gritted hard to make him stay conscious despite the wounds.

"Run! I will handle all of them!"

Blade yelled as he made a wide swing with his sword, slicing some wings on the monsters. He looked at the Rouze Absorber on his left arm and pushed the button, revealing three more card slots. He drew the one with two capricorn heads and inserted it to the device.

ABSORB QUEEN

Blade took a quick look at the number of the enemies and decided to use King Form to finish them once and for all. He took the Evolution Caucasus out of its slot but then a pulse in his chest interrupted him.

'You need a very high fusion rate to transform into King Form. Other than that, you would either get rejected and revert to human form or luckily, transform into Blade King but gradually become the Joker.'

A voice spoke in Kagami's ears, further increasing his fear. Seeing his hesitance, the monsters jumped at him. Blade brought his blade to block but it was too late, he was hit by multiple claws. Sparks cackling his armor caused the Rider to drop the card and soon became unconscious due to the pain. Ogami roared as he blindly swung his blades at the beasts and kneeled beside Blade, shaking his body while calling for him in vain.

Maria Tachibana had watched enough. She ordered Sumire to intercept while she provided covering fire from behind. The duo defeated a couple of Koumas but there were still many of them remained. Although they had just met for two days, Maria felt it was her responsibility to take care of her fellow comrades, whether they were Hanagumi or not. She was most concerned with the man in armor that got knocked out.

"Hold on, reinforcement has arrived!"

She heard Ensign Ogami shout at the man despite his condition. She hoped that she and Sumire could clear the monsters out as soon as possible but at the current rate, it became more and more difficult. Then she saw the man weakly standing up and looking around for something.

Kagami saw fire and deaths, the images that never once in his life he saw. He saw a mother hugging her dead offspring while crying among other victims of war. Then a gigantic monster spotted her. Kagami tried to yell at her to run but could not make any sound from his throat. The beast soon used its feet to crush the mother to death, much to his anger and helplessness.

"Why am I powerless?! I could have saved them, but I could not! DAMN IT!"

"Then use it. Kill the Kouma and save humanity."

Joker appeared before him and showed the Evolution Caucasus card. The ever-smirking Undead grabbed Yagami's shirt and pulled him up.

"USE IT!"

….

Blade regained his consciousness and saw the monsters, Koumas, still around. Next to him was Ogami who stood defensively with his blades drawn. He looked around and found the King of Spade rouze card lying not far from him before limbing toward it.

"W-What are you doing?!" Ogami exclaimed as he saw Blade weakly clutching the card with the caucasus beetle displayed. The latter used the bridge to stand, albeit it looked painful doing so.

"I…I won't hesitate anymore!"

Blade screamed as he forcefully slid the card to the Rouze Absorber.

EVOLUTION KING

A large template of Spade symbol with the Caucasus in the middle with red jewel emerged from the card and attached to the device, producing sparks across Blade's body. Kagami grunted in pain as the electronic shocks prevented his muscles to work but he still stood still. Soon, the Blay Buckle, the new card pouch, Blade Rouzer and the Rouze Rouzer shined and released all 53 Rouze Cards into the sky.

"Come!"

Blade called out as the cards started fusing with his body, emitting a bright light that temporarily blinded the witnesses. When it died down, Blade King Form's transformation was completed. In a glance, it looked not too different than the original Blade King but all the positions that previously only contained one Undead of Spade suit now had four. In his chest now had four small sigils resembling four Kings of Suits placed around the Golden Joker in the middle. All humans in the area were frozen in awe and shock while the beasts roared at King Blade and charged at him.

"Hmph!"

King Blade's right knuckle brimmed with fire, lightning, wind and ice. When they approached him within range, he delivered a punch so powerful that the first one in contact simply dissolved into nothingness and the following ones were annihilated by a torrent of four elements. The Rider slowly stepped forward and any Koumas that came contact with his fist shared the same fate as the first one earlier. Only 6 Koumas left. King Blade's hand opened as four elements formed the King Rouzer, a claymore that only King could use. His chest plate flared and emitted 5 cards as he dropped them into the Rouze Carrier.

The holograms of four King Category cards appeared and then fused with the golden Joker into King Blade's body. Having nothing left, the Koumas charged into the Rider once last time. The latter's blade cackled with energy as he delivered one slash and everything was engulfed by a massive explosion. The force was so strong that Ogami got fallen in the river while two Koubus were blown away.

Kagami's vision started fading but he shook his head violently to stay focus. He looked around to see nothing but a scorching bridge and destroyed buildings. He walked forward, trying to find survivors.

"Argh! Damn my legs!"

He heard Ogami's shout below and he quickly jumped down. Unfortunately, his weight dragged him all down to the bottom but King Blade quickly used the Float rouze card which levitated him upward. He caught Ogami's arm and brought him to the land swiftly. Once his feet touched the ground, King Blade's suit disappeared in the gold projection that went through Kagami, leaving a heavily wounded man collapse face-first. Ogami got panicked and looked around for someone to help. He saw two humanoid steam machines heading toward him so he dragged Kagami's body toward them to reduce the time.

Back in Teikoku Kagekidan's headquarters, Ikki Yoneda and Fujieda Ayame along with the Kazegumi stared breathlessly at the large screen.

"What the hell…just happened?" Yoneda simply spoke.

First debut of Blade in Sakura Wars and with full force it was! But don't worry, he won't be able to use that form until the semi-finale of the first arc, along with the majority of the Rouze Cards. Yes, he accepted to become Joker to defeat the Kouma.
