Once there was a girl. Her name was Luna Lovegood. But that was only once, as there had never been anyone like her. Draco's tears rippled his own reflection as he stared into the rusty bathroom sink, feeling as though he was going to be sick. It was his fault, all of it. If he had just stood up for her like she had done for many, she would be here, by his side, whispering words of comfort. Now he was alone, and the only whispers he could hear were those of his own brain, murmuring about how good the bottom of the lake looked today, about how pleasant it would be to lie, motionless at the foot of the astronomy tower. He knew Luna would not want him to give into these voices, but what if she was angry? What if she was spinning in her grave, preparing to haunt him? He felt a shiver rise up his spine, and he fell to his knees, soaking his robes. 'I would let her' he thought, and suddenly all emotion in his body washed out. He felt numb, staring at the wall, and somehow this numbness was worse than pain, worse than torture. He gave up.
After an uneventful, unmeasurable amount of time, he felt a cool breeze on his back, and heard the soft thud of footsteps beside him. He didn't look up; he recognised the breath. "Do it." He whispered, and it echoed around the bathroom as though he had shouted. He had been silent for so long. There was a pause, where the only thing you could hear was the unintelligible echo of the words, as though a breeze a million miles away had passed through. Then, Draco looked up at Luna, and she was crying. He felt a gasp get caught somewhere in his chest, creating an uncomfortable tightness near his ribs. She was bloody, one of her eyes was pushed back into her skull, and you could see her shoulder blade sticking out at an odd angle. She looked at him with her good eye, as her other one cried blood. "What happened?" He said, feeling the shock pumping through his veins, making an almost audible beat in the near-silence of the room. She looked down, and said "I came back for you. I didn't much like hell. I had to claw my way a million miles up a never ending cliff, just because i wanted you. At the top i had to pass Lucifer himself. He wasn't very impressed.'
Draco stood there, full of awe and shock. She had clawed her way up from hell?
"But i thought only bad people are mean't to go to hell?" He said, feeling tears soak the neck of his robe.
Luna looked at him, straight into his blue eyes, and Draco felt the rush of electricity he had known when he was alive. There was a small silence, where they simply observed one another, and then Luna said "Everyone goes to hell. Merry Christmas"
Sorry it's barley related to christmas, i got a bit distracted ;D
