Sleep Walker

Inspired by my oldest daughter's strange sleep walking habits!

"Tammy, that tickles."

"But, I can tell you like it."

Tamora pulled back just enough to wink at Felix before diving in on his neck again. The feathery kisses she planted made him squirm underneath her, but oh how Tammy was not wrong about him liking it.

Felix's bare hand smoothed down her tank top, his thumb catching her boy shorts and giving a tug downward. It never failed that they're playfulness led to other activities, and that's exactly where this was headed.

With Tamora's shorts halfway down her butt cheek and Felix's t-shirt removed, they were just about to happily disrobe the rest of the way when their bedroom flung open.

"What the-?!" Tamora yelled, both their heads snapping to face the door. She was about to snatch her pistol off the nightstand, but stopped when she got a good look at who was nervy enough to enter their private space.

"Vanellope?" Felix said. He quickly sat up, wrestling his t-shirt back on.

Tamora yanked up her shorts. "Y'know, you really have some guts barging in here, kid!"

Vanellope gave no reply; just stood there in the doorway looking around.

"What's wrong, sugarplum?" Felix asked, hopping off the bed to make sure she was all right.

The girl acted as if she didn't see him. She walked right passed, headed straight for the bathroom.

Tamora and Felix exchanged bewildered looks. "That kid is gonna be in hot soup if this is some kind of prank."

Felix shook his head. "I don't think it's a prank. She may be sleepwalking."

The sound of the toilet flushing brought their attention back to what Vanellope was doing. They walked over to the bathroom door, and watched as the girl washed her hands and dried them as if she were perfectly awake. Vanellope calmly walked out, passed them, and out the bedroom door.

Felix snatched up a pair of jeans from the hamper and followed after her. "We better make sure she gets back to Ralph's safely."

Tamora shook her head in disbelief. "And I thought that kid was strange when she was awake."
