Chapter 1

At the moment Peter was not happy. He was currently climbing through the cramped, overheated ventilation system, all because the Avengers had decided to leave him out of the loop, again.

"This is an Avengers meeting Peter." He mocked in anger. "You're too young to be a superhero, let alone an Avenger. It's just too dangerous, your barley seventeen." Peter's voice became quiet as he reached his desired air vent.

He tuned in to Nick Fury's holier-than-thou voice. "-Readings from the crystal fissure suggest that the girl is still alive. She appears to be in the same state of sleep as the Captain was found in."

Peter shifted to get a look at what the director was talking about, and his breath caught in his throat. The girl mentioned was petit, with skin like porcelain and hair of golden silk. She wore a white shift on her torso and a matching skirt- it reached her shine on her right and to mid-thigh on her left and was shredded at the bottom edge. Across her chest, in her small and delicate hands, was a leather bound book with intricate designs. Her eyes were closed and the light made her white skin look like it was glowing.

Peter's view of the girl was blocked by a head of familiar honey-blonde hair. The super soldier raised a sun kissed hand to the glass prison, before calling back to the director. "Can we get her out of there?"

"We are currently worki-.." Crack!

The noise interrupted Fury's reply, and all heads turned to the bound girl, to see deep cracks littering the crystal. Peter watched the cracks get bigger and more numerous, before his attention was brought back to the girl within. He could see her eyes begin to open as the light around her grew brighter. Then all at once, her eyes flew open and the entire room was filled with a blinding light.

Peter barely felt himself falling before a searing pain hit his left side. Everything was quiet, still, if only for a moment, then "Peter!" A familiar, mechanical voice pulled his attention to the red and gold figure above him.

"Hi, Dad." Peter whispered, glad that his mask hid his embarrassment and pain. The Iron Man face plate rose to reveal the disappointed face of Tony Stark. He held a hand toward Peter, and noticed when his son winced getting up.

"You all right?" He asked in concern. The gasp of air did not help the nod, but a roar from behind Tony, kept him from pushing the matter.

As Tony went to calm down the Hulk, Peter was left to survey the damage. Debris was everywhere and the same could be said about the people. There was a few busies, but for the most part everyone looked fine.

Peters gaze circled the room until they landed on a pair of milky white orbs. Then everything disappeared, and Peter was floating.
