Life's stressors seem to be extra intense when you're a good girl like Haruko; nothing goes wrong long enough for Haruko to need any time to dwell, and for that, she's grateful. Life is a quiet routine that she's comfortable with.

But then, she runs her mouth when she's not supposed to at her teacher, and it all goes wrong. Haruko knows she's much more tactful, but her teacher just won't shut up and she's in a grouchy mood already.

When the words "Haruko Akagi: detention today after class" come out of her teacher's mouth, Haruko's heart sinks. This will be a well guarded secret for if her brother or parents found out, she'd be in deeper trouble than she was currently in.

The only person she could talk to was Sakuragi. He knew the ways of the world, and he could help in ways her other friends couldn't. He could help her get a grip on how to deal with this.

"Sakuragi-san!" She exclaims, and for a moment, he freezes but turns to her with a huge, dopey grin.

"How's it going?" He asks, genuine in his interest.

"I got detention, and I need your advice."

He stops in his tracks. "...You? Really?" She nods.

"Let me guide you, Haruko!" He seems a little too energetic over this but the energy's infectious and she's already feeling better.

He tells her ways to ward off boredom, and ways to stay calm, and ways to suck up to the teacher so that detention would be cut short if worst comes to worst.

With Sakuragi guiding her, Haruko knows she can't fail.
