Itachi sat in a ring of candles, meditating. He was breathing deeply. He could smell all the scented candles surrounding him. In the distance he could hear his partner, Kisame, calling him. Ignoring his blue room-mate, Itachi sunk further into bliss. There he stayed, that is, until Kisame came bursting into the room.
"Itachi! It- phew what is that smell? It stinks."
Itachi opened a sharingan eye and glared at Kisame for daring to insult his favourite scented candles.
"Scented candles, Kisame. Something that a nose as unrefined as yours can't possibly enjoy. Now leave me be."
Kisame snorted, then started coughing.
"Not on your *hack* life. I've lost my *cough* moisturizer Have you *cough* seen it?"
Itachi rolled his eyes behind his eyelids.
"Use mine."
"But I'm allergic to coconut. You know that." Kisame whined.
"Kisame."
The tone he used implied death, but Kisame ignored it.
"Kisame."
Sweat broke out on Kisame's neck and he tried to continue ignoring Itachi's voice.
"Kisame..."
"Hey you know what Itachi? I bet Hidan or Tobi stole it. Right, I'm gonna go beat the crap out of them and find it. Bye."
Kisame dashed out of the room as fast as he could. Itachi nodded slightly in satisfaction and returned to his meditation. He was slowly falling asleep when he heard screams and curses echoing around the hideout. Sighing deeply, Itachi waited silently.
3. 2. 1...
"ITACHI! THEY DON'T HAVE IT! ARE YOU SURE YOU HAVEN"T SEEN IT?"
"Kisame..."
"Right, torture Deidara it is then."
Itachi held back a smirk. Knowing what would happen next, he leaned forward and systematically put out each of the candles surrounding him. Standing up, he listened to the explosions and yells of pain that ricocheted off every wall to his ears. He walked over to Kisame's bed and lifted up his pillow. Picking up the item that Kisame was looking for distastefully with his forefinger and thumb, he waited patiently for the blue man to come trooping back to the room. After counting to a hundred three times, he saw the blue haired man walk back into the room. Clearing his throat with a slightly annoyed look on his face, he watched with slight disgust as Kisame's eyes lit up and he lunged for the moisturizer to hold it dear. Itachi held it out of reach, however and Kisame's eyes started watering.
"Please may I have it Itachi? My hands are getting all rough and scaly looking."
"It took me half an hour to position each one of those candles. It took me another ten minutes to sit inside the circle properly to make sure I wouldn't catch fire."
Kisame knew what was coming next and hung his head.
"You need to light every single one of those candles plus fifty more when these ones burn out, to get your moisturizer
"Yes Itachi."
"And one more thing Kisame."
The blue man looked up.
"Next time, look under your pillow for these things and you won't have to do any more menial tasks for me."
"Yes Itachi..."
