This is a random thing I did, which was actually a school project, but I thought I'd post it on here incase some people actually
enjoy it =D So here it is: a lil' gigglesnort for your day x3
P.S. I obviously do not own Romeo and Juliet. That is all.
(Scene: The Capulet Monument, Juliet is "dead")
Romeo:O' my dear lady, I see you for the last time. May our parting be swift, for I loathe long good-byes.
(Enters Nurse)
Nurse: Romeo! What art thou buisness in Verona? Thou were exiled long ago!
Romeo: I've come to see my lady for the last time.
Nurse: Sir, I beseech you! Do not tarry, for Paris shall be arriving!
Romeo: Do not fret Nurse, this poison tarries for none.
(Romeo produces vial)
(Juliet stirs)
Juliet: Romeo! Thou hast come to rescue me from this miserable place!
Romeo: Thou art alive?
(Romeo raises vial to his lips)
Juliet: Nay!
(Juliet makes Romeo drop the vial)
(Enters Paris)
Romeo: Nay! My precious elixir! Half my fortune has been poured upon the floor!
(Paris picks up vial)
Paris: What might this be? A precious vial bought with the Montague fortune? I shall have a taste!
(Paris drinks the remainder of the vial)
Paris: (Dying) You liar! You fraud!
(Paris dies)
(Nurse, Juliet, and Romeo stare for a moment)
Juliet: (Confused) Thou art not joyful of my awakening?
Romeo: Nay! For I came here not to save thee, but to ensure thy restful sleep in death! By what means does thou conclude
this?
Juliet: We have been wed? Doth thou not have memory of our joining in love?
Romeo: (Distressed) Ay! Alack, for I do recall! What a relief it was to learn our bond had been broken by merciful death!
Juliet: (Shocked) Doth thou not love me?
Romeo: A mistake! A mistake it was to marry thee, for thou hast grown fat, and beauty has left thy face!
(Juliet faints)
(Friar Lawrence and Capulet enter)
Friar: I beseech you sir! Do not enter that monument! You must. . .go home to rest! Much grieving has come from your lips.
Capulet: Nay, for I must see my beloved daughter! (Sees Romeo) Murderer! The very origin of my daughter's grief!
Despicable, loathesome creature, come to vandalize the grave of my ancestors! Draw your weapon!
(Capulet draws his sword)
Friar: Do you not love your daughter enough to let her have peace? Lay your sword down, for it does no good here!
Nurse: No love does this man have, for he would kick his daughter to the streets! Thee shall lay in the tomb tonight, not
Romeo!
(Nurse slays Capulet)
(Juliet, Romeo, and Friar stare)
Nurse: Why doth thou look upon me this way?
(Romeo falls to his knees)
Romeo: Dear Friar! Help my cursed body escape this dreaded situation!
Friar: How can thou not rejoice? Thy love is living, and thyself has not been discovered in Verona!
Romeo: How can thou chastise me for being cruelly placed with this beast?
Friar: (Shocked) How dare thou betray the Lord's mercy! As a punishment, I sentence thee to Mantua, with thy wife. You
shall always be by her side, and you shall stay together until the end of your days.
(Juliet rises)
Juliet: Our love shall live eternally forever more!
(Romeo weeps)
Romeo: NAY! ! !
THE END.
As if writing this wasn't enough, our group had to act it out too! :PPP
R&R please! ! ! ^_^
