The origin of the habit never was discussed, it's like they had done it for forever.
Every time they fought, it just sorta happened.
Not planned, and that way neither of them lost, it would be a tie and they would be BFF's again.
Some times Stan would do it, others Kyle.
Though it was usually Stan.
It would be done in different places.
Lockers, class, either of their homes, Kenny.
Anywhere and everywhere was free game to them.
See, when they would fight, and it would turn into one of those stupid 'avoidance' things, they would leave sticky notes for each other with apologizes and declarations of ones undying loyalty.
It was totally NOT gay.
For them, nothing had to be said out loud, it was good enough to be on paper simply because they both knew it was sincere.
And it worked for them.
