A/N: Sam is 3, Dean is 7. Not much to say on this one... Here's hoping it doesn't completely suck, eh? Sorry it's kind of angsty; I think I ran out of funny this week. :C
Summary: E/O Challenge: Time. Seven year old Dean watches over his baby brother as he waits for his dad to get home from a hunt.
Late
"Duckies!" Sam points excitedly at the TV screen, flailing chubby arms almost hitting Dean in the face. He expertly dodges, thankful for his combat training.
"That's great, Sammy..." Dean's voice is just a little bit shaky as he glances nervously at the door. The hands on the clock spin too fast for his liking.
It's getting late and dad still isn't home. Dean sighs, grips the phone tight in his hand and, with the other, pulls a sleepy Sam close to his side.
The dial tone sounds at the same time the door clicks open.
Dean hangs up.
