Chapter One

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was rainy afternoon. Claire, the city's rancher was doing her daily chores. She moved her animals into the barn so they wouldn't get sick, she harvested her crops, and then she was off to cook dinner for her friend, who was a boy. Her childhood friend, Jack, was watching television in her bedroom while Claire was farming. The door was opened. As Claire walked in, she heard a drip drop sound. She blinked, suspiciously.

drip drop.

She realized the noise was coming from her bedroom.

drip drop.

Claire started to approach her bedroom, bravely. She took her pocket knife and put it in the slit of her pocket.

drip...drip...

As Claire reached for the doorknob, she heard a shot. Claire froze in terror, and let out a blood-curdling shriek. It was a gun-shot. The bullet raced into her door and out. Then, a warm, vibrant red liquid splashed into Claire's face, the liquid trickled down her cheek and rolled off her chin. Claire's mouth opened wide, she started to cry. Just then, the police, Harris ran into the room to see the terrified blonde sprawled across the floor. Claire had fainted. Harris looked forward to see a body on the floor. The window was wide opened.

The murderer escaped.

A/N: Hey-ho, Sweetie here. So, first fanfiction here on . I love it here! I hope you enjoyed Chapter One, I am hoping to make a full and complete series of this. I tried to describe the scene thoroughly. English is not my native language so there should be a few grammar and spelling mistakes. I promose to make the chapters longer, this was just a cliff-hanger. Enjoy, enjoy.
