Word Count: 100. A winner is me!
A/N: I need to write from John's POV more often. Just got John Winchester's Journal from Amazon yesterday, so maybe that'll give me more insight.
Summary: E/O Challenge: Time. At the end of the day, John just wants his boys to be safe. End of season one... ish.
Safe
It's been a while since he's seen his youngest son, and isn't that just the understatement of the century.
Staring at each other as they are, there's an anger that bubbles up just under his skin. It's easier, so much easier, to be pissed about him up and leaving than it is to be scared, or hurt.
His boys... his children. He can't treat them that way anymore; but, Lord, does he want to.
Sometimes he wishes he could go back to the times when they were small. When he could hold them in his arms, and keep them safe.
