There were days where we'd just sit close and look at the stars. Alone with no one else but us two. Not a single word was uttered between us. Just the simple companionship we willingly gave to one another.
The world had no place in our little paradox. No realities to hurt either of us. Just knowing the other was there to love us as we were. I needed him as he needed me.
Always.
In that harsh reality of hurt, pain, and viciousness, I found no joy in; this dream was one no one could ruin for me. In these small moments stolen from time, I could be myself with him. We could never speak, but we always knew.
A shooting star flew across the sky. And then I heard him say, "I love you."
Tears threatened to fall, my breathing hitched, and I wanted nothing more than to hold him.
The only answer I could give him was, "It's too bad that we couldn't have lived in a different world."

I finished with a sigh. My face streaked with tears.

He looked down at the flowers beneath our feet and he bent down to pick one out of the earth.
"This flower only blooms here, on nights of the shooting sky. Suitable for us two, don't you think?"
Only on the nights of the shooting sky will you two be able to steal time for yourselves, and only once the first star is across the sky shall you shall speak. Until the last star disappears from the sky you will have what you've bargained for.
"Yes, it is."
And you will never be able to touch each other, forever.
"I wish, that I could be with you forever." He said, "I want to hold you, wipe of those tears, and tell you how much I love you while holding you tight."
I cried some more, and I crumpled onto the grass.
And then, reality started again.
"I love you…..Yuuki"
