Desmond had grown accustom to hearing Shaun and Arna argue all of the time. In fact, if the pair weren't yelling at each other about some trivial issue; it left the room rather silent and awkward. It was the least of his worries at the moment however. They were already at each others throats again.

"I never said that!" Shaun had claimed once again, his English accent thick with frustration.

"Yes you did, darn it! Don't try to weasel your way out of this one!"

He rolled his eyes, his arms falling to his sides making a rather loud smack sound that echoed through the room. They were all listening, trying not to snicker at how this next argument would play out.

"You're really insisting on keeping this up, aren't you?" He inquired, motioning to the shorter girl.

Arna puffed out her cheeks in a pout, glaring up at him. If there was one thing he knew about her, it was she rarely gave up on her own argument. 'Stick to your guns when you know you're right!', she had once claimed. She lived true to those words; no matter how much ofan annoyance it ended up for him.

She suddenly smirked, making him blink slightly in confusion. She dug into her pocket, pulling out an old black cassette player.

"What is that thing for?"

Her smirk didn't leave her face as she pressed the play button. It came as a shock to him when he heard his voice followed by Rebecca's.

"She can be such a pain...But I love that about her."

Quickly pressing the stop button, Arna lifted her chin proudly. It was at this point Shaun could have sworn he felt his face heat up from embarrassment. When he could feel his ears burning did he realize that he was blushing.

"I never said that." He defended, his voice giving no hint of a lie. "I was simply misquoted..."

"How do you misquote that?" Rebecca pipped in, unwanting to miss this chance.

Shaun shot a glare, effectively quieting the women after a quick laugh. This was the last thing he needed; a peanut gallery.

"As I said, I was simply misquoted..."

"Nah uh! You've just lost the game!" She shouted in triumph.

Shaun was still for a brief moment before he lunged for the old device in her hands. "There is no way I'm letting you keep that!"

Arna pulled away quickly, laughing as she began to run around the room. "Come on lover boy! You're gonna have to work to get it!"

It was soon after did Desmond find that the room that had simply occupied several computers and the Animus had turned into a track meet; Shaun chasing the swift Arna just to get that cassette player.

Not that it didn't prove amusing for him. After all, Shaun had just lost the game, whether he admitted it or not.
