Ambrit International School, Italy:

Lila was day dreaming about Antonio when her name was called.

"Yes Miss Romano?", she answered quickly, jolting up from her slouched position.

"You're following along, right?" the teacher replied sternly.

"Of course! Why wouldn't I be?" Lila said cheekily.

Miss Romano looked at her for a second and then continued explaining the architecture of the Coliseum.

"The stone used had to be very strong to support the weight of thousands of spectators" Miss R explained, a little over-enthusiastically.

"Strooooooong" Lila thought dreamily, "Antonio must be strong too, I bet he could hold up all those spectators on his own!"

Everyone stared as Lila realised she said that last part out loud. Just then the bell rang for home time.

"Talk about saved by the bell Miss Rossi!" The teacher exclaimed. No one laughed, they just took the opportunity to run out of class before any homework was given. Lila scrambled to grab her things and ran out of the building as fast as she could until she got home.

Lila had a pretty normal life at home, but at school it was different. She was a bit of an outcast. She had friends, but she knew that they weren't exactly the most 'popular' people. The only reason Lila was still bothered to attend school was because of Antonio Marino. She loved everything about him. From his amazing looks to the flow of his full name to how good Lila Marino sounded. Were it not for him she would of ran away a long time ago.

Alas, despite her monumental effort, Antonio just dismissed Lila. Antonio lived a very free life. No rules, no discipline, no care in the world. He lacked a father figure and his mother didn't care for him much. This led him to become a bully towards other students. No one liked him at all except for his few friends who were almost as bad as him. Lila didn't care who he was, all she cared about was that he was gorgeous and that she would do anything for him.

(Back to Lila in her room.)

Instead of doing her homework, Lila was practising what to say to Antonio the next day.

"First I get him alone... somehow."

"Get who alone?" Lila's Dad asked suspiciously. The sudden sound of his voice made Lila jump as she hid her untouched homework in a drawer.

"Oh. That. Um. Just some guy." Lila answered hastily

"Wait you're old enough for that now? I didn't even realise. I didn't even hug your mother until we were 21!" her father joked.

"Daaaaaaaaaad! I'm not you! I'm not growing up in the same darn time as you its different now!" Lila whined.

"Yes of course, back in my day everyone wore sandals and a rag that only covered the important parts and carved their notes into stone." Mr Rossi answered sarcastically, which made Lila giggle.

"Sorry Dad" Lila chuckled as he left.

Lila was ready for tomorrow. This was her time to impress Antonio. She felt confident and nervous at the same time as she slowly fell asleep that night, imagining every possible outcome for the conversation tomorrow.
